Resident 2013 - 2014

I rent this apartment for my sons attending CSUF. They can walk to class easily. The staff are super friendly. Any maintenance issues get fixed right away. The grounds are kept perfectly. The price is great for the area. Tenants are super friendly, quiet, and respectful of those around them. Their apartment is very large and solidly built. I am so happy I read other reviews and picked the right place

My sister and I have been living here for about 3 years now and plan to keep living here. I have yet to see a better apartment complex in Fullerton. It could even contend with many of the apartments in Irvine or South Orange County. I love it. It's a bummer that pets aren't allowed, but it makes for a quieter environment. It's super close to Target, banks, Albertson's, and CSUF/Hope International. Penny and Shannon are the greatest management that I've ever come across. Very nice and always there to help. All of their staff is equally great. I never feel uncomfortable when I'm alone at home, as a girl, to have the maintenance guys come in and fix stuff. Fullerton is not the safest place, but in this complex there is always a security patrol cruising around at night and as far as I know, there has not even been a car break in on their grounds. Be careful not to mix up Montclaire with Serranto (which is right next door) though... Serranto is the not so nice version of Montclaire. If you want to live at… See More>

This place is awesome!! Shannon and Penny are seriously the sweetest managers ever. The complex is beautiful and super close to everything. The insides are nice, and all the neighbors are very friendly. It's a great place for families!! Definitely recommend this place to everyone :)

I loved loved loved Montcalir. I lived there for 2 years with some friends and only moved because I got married! The community is pretty quiet and the office staff is amazing. Love them. The only thing I didn't like was the difficultly to find parking if you didn't have a carport or if you had guests over. But that isn't the office's fault. Safe area and never had any problems. Whenever there was an issue the office fixed it with a day or two, great people.

My husband and I lived here for the first year of being married. Montclaire is a great place to live! Double pane windows keep out unwanted noise so if you're bothered by noise you can just close the windows and the problem is solved. The apartments are nice inside and the managing staff is very helpful and efficient. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

            Great apartments! Good price!

I lived at Montclaire with my family for close to 5 years. We thoroughly enjoyed living here and were sad to leave when we bought a house. The apartements are spacious, clean and very well maintained. If there is a problem, you just have to pick up the phone and call Penny and she will go out of her way to fix it. Ideal for families with young kids as there are plenty of other families around. Well maintained pool and jacuzzi.

              AWESOME PLACE TO LIVE!

Montclaire Apartments is a great complex to reside and the grounds are immaculate. The complex manager, Penny Skow is an amazing, caring and sincere person. The townhouse that we lived in was very large and spacious. The complex has an awesome pool / BBQ area with grass all around which is very rare to come by. The complex is close to markets, restaurants and the mall. The only downside was the never ending traffic noise from the 57 freeway. But if you are looking for a safe, clean and respectable place to "call home" Montclaire Apartments is the place to be.

                Great Place to Live

My roommate and I lived there for 2.5 years. The oly reason we left was because my roommate bought a house. The management there is very nice, the grounds are always clean, the townhomes are very large, and the overall rent is very affordable. I would recommend them to any person who is on the quiet side and is a good tenant. The management will not tolerate rude tenants. Yet another reason for good people to want to move in.

                  Great Place to Live

I have lived here for 9 years. The grounds are very nice. The pool and Jacuzzi are awesome. It is quiet with good neighbors. Bad neighbors are not tolerated by the owner. The owner is selective about renting to good quality people. Maintenance is very prompt and inconveniences are kept to a minimum. Paint, lighting and windows have recently been upgraded. Laundry rooms are well maintained and all machines are kept in working order. The owner is also the on site manager and really does a great job caring for the property and the tenants. The maintenance staff is very nice as well. I enjoy having a garage. The price is great!

                    Penny is amazing!

I am in the process of moving out, but I wanted to leave a comment about how awesome Montclaire is. Super close to CSUF and local shopping (especially Target!), plus you can't beat the access to the 57 freeway. The best part is the management. Penny is absolutely wonderful, totally there for you when you need something, but also not afraid to be firm if problems arise. The apartments themselves are very roomy and spacious, with very well cared for grounds and garage parking. This was my first apartment on my own, and I could not have had a better experience. I definately recommend Montclaire, the office and maintenance staff, and especially Penny! One word of caution if you are looking in the area, stay away from Jade Tree!!! Just being next to them made you want to pull your hair out sometimes, I can't imagine living there. But, as noted before, Penny was not afraid to be firm when needed, and she is someone who always has your back.

I hope this place is still as good as i remember

I lived here for 5 years from 95-2000. Basically, the entire time I was a student at CSUF. I loved it! It was so big, roomy, clean, and Penny was the best! Parking was a bit tight, but at least we got one parking garage. The pool, spa, and basketballcourt amenities were not bad either...I hope the rent is still reasonable.

                        Great Place

We have lived hear for almost 9 years. What the other posts have said is true. The grounds are well-kept. There are 2 very large grassy areas. (One of my neighbors actually was married on one of them a few years ago.)

My experience here has been wonderful. The maintenance people are excellent. They are friendly AND efficient, which is a rarity. And since the manager is related to the owners (she's either the daughter or granddaughter), she is personally vested in the success of our community.

The only not-so-great things I can think of are:

1. Guest parking is pretty much non-existant since students from CSUF PArk here and walk over.

2. Depending on which part of the complex you live in, you either hear the freeway traffic or the Placentia Avenue traffic if you leave your windows open.

Nonetheless, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.

                          My experience with Montclaire

The management is awesome. It is family owned and operated by the owners daughter. Her name is Penny. The place is extremely clean, the washer dryer facilities are all very nice and new, the property is well maintained. If you're going to live there, I'd recommend getting a townhouse. They have townhomes with and without washer dryer hookups. The also have 3 bedrooms with fireplaces. I never lived in one but I know that they're great for the price. The only downside to this place is that the townhomes face each other and you can sometimes hear noise from your neighbors. And it's very close to the 57 freeway. If you're a lite sleeper, I'd request that you have the east side and not the west side.

Overall, this is a great place to live. There are lots of families. It's quiet and especially nice during the holidays because the neighbors actually do a really good job decorating.

There's also a great recreation area. A nice pool, jacuzzi, and BBQ area with a basketball court. It's awesome!

It is one of the best complex in Fullerton at a reasonable price.

I really enjoy living in the Montclaire Apartments. It is a nice and quiet complex. It is kept nice and clean. What I really like about living here is that whenever you have a problem with anything in the complex, maintenance is always there to fix your problem. Also their staff is nice, friendly, and understanding. Most important of all is, that it is a pretty safe environment.
