The staff at The Pointe are ridiculous. The maintenance guy, in particular, is horrible. I have lived here over 6 months and he has already had to come fix stuff 5 times (which means it was crappy when we moved in). EVERY SINGLE TIME he comes in to fix something, he breaks something else. I don't hear back from him for months even though I put in work orders properly. He thinks he's really good at fixing stuff, but he's really, really bad.
When it rained recently my apartment leaked in a ton of different places. The management company had the bright idea of starting a re-roofing job on November 12. Why not do it during the summer when it never rains? Because they're cheap and I'm sure they got a discount. At any rate, since then the management company has refused to take any of the blame and is making me go straight to the roofing company for any reimbursements. Michelle also told me several times I'd be reimbursed for certain things, but then the complex talked to a lawyer and she has denied ever telling me I'd be reimbursed. That's called a lie.
Obviously you don't expect much when you go for the cheapest apartment complex around Cal State Fullerton, but no one should have to go through the problems I have in the past month for close to $1000 a month. Worst management ever. Just be warned going in. They're fine if there aren't any problems (who isn't?), but as soon as something happens, they look for scapegoats and lie like no other. Enjoy.
