Do not move in here at all costs. The management in extremely rude and aggressive. Uncommunicative when you contact them. The do not follow civil codes and will come to your home whenever they feel like it. “Do you want it or not” is there mentality and I’ve been told these very words from the landlord. The don’t have a cockroach infestation yet they have to have exterminators come out every other week or so to spray for them. Witnessed domestic violence in the parking lot, cops in the alley chasing down suspects. Beware of The Lake

This apartment complex has pros and cons. Cons: Bugs: the humidity and vegetation caused by the lakes causes an increase in gnats everywhere, especially in the summer. And these bugs attract spiders-some of the most monstrous demon like hairy, spiders I have ever seen in California it is like they are exclusive to here. I posted one on a species identifier app and someone just said it was possibly of the nightmare genus. WATER: I had the water professionally tested when I noticed my hair falling out quicker after I moved in. As I suspected the water came back with a hardness of 11 and a ppm of 468. This is not healthy. You want water to be 0, the scale only goes to 10 . Hard water means an excess of minerals which can corrode and make your hair fall it. The ppms are too high the water here tastes very bad from old pipes. It's too high to even give to patio plants if you like gardening. Your skin will dry, your hair will fall out, your clothes will stain, and salts will build up on… See More>

My husband and I lived here for around 9 months and at first it seemed like the best apt ever. It was spacious and very private. However, we inherited roaches from the last tenant and it honestly took a month for apt managers to do anything. Then, we began to notice spiders everywhere, all the time so we called the office for them to send someone to spray the apt and that took another two months...That wasn't the real problem, for my husband and I, the real problem was the manager. The ----- man was the one that showed the apt to my husband and he didn't not say anything the whole time and it was as if he did not give a s*** if we where interested or not. When we called to get things fixed, he would never answer the phone even if he was in the office (I could see him in the office not answering the phone), and when he did answer he would tell us that he will have someone up to help us in a few minutes. Maintenance never came. I called three days straight and each time he would tell me that maintenance… See More>

          Happy at The Lake

I love living at The Lake Apartments. I have not experienced anything bad. The office staff has always been pleasant and professional. The Lake and the sounds of nature are fantastic! My roommates love to come over to study, we sit by the pool and it is awesome! I would recommend all of my friends to live here!

            Good Starter Home

I moved into the Lake Apartments for the first time on my own back in 2006. I was pregnant and got a studio. Management at the time was cool but a little too laid back on certain things. They didn't last long from the time I moved in. We then got new managemtent from end of 2006 to mid 2009. They were great, they threw parties for us, took care of the property like they should, would fix things as soon as you called it in. Man, Jerry, he was the best, he would even have maitenance deliver my packages to my door. They also let me paint the walls when I moved into their 2 bed/2bath. Love the fact that we have a 2 car attached garage. I love it. They began renovation around 2008 I think and upgraded some apartmentw with granite countertops and washer/dryers but if you wanted one of those units you would pay the price, the hefty price. We pay 1690 and seems okay because the apt. is huge but to go from that to 2400 I think, not worth it. I've loved it… See More>

If you love getting your car broken into and cockroaches by all means, MOVE HERE!

When my boyfriend and I first moved into this place back in August 2008 it seemed like the perfect apartment for us. It was ideal until -----------------, the previous managers, were fired. The new management team members are complete idiots! Ladies beware(and men as well): ----- is a perv! If you go into the office he will just stare at your chest, instead of listening to you. We started noticing cockroaches, or as they like to call them, ''Water bugs'', in our apartment around May 2009. Now, we did not live in filth. I always kept the place clean and tidy. I spoke with many of our neighbors that also complained about having them in their apartments. These so called, ''water bugs'', are the biggest cockroaches I ever seen in my whole life! They are disgusting, to say the least. My poor cat would set up post in our kitchen every night to catch these damn things! When we complained to management, they just brushed them off by saying; ''Oh, those aren't cockroaches, they are just water bugs!'' BS! This apartment complex is mostly being occupied by immature, scandalous college kids. It's so noisy, especially on Friday nights. You can hear… See More>

                Going to miss this place

I love this place. We have been here for about a year but need to relocate down to San Diego. It is beautiful with a lake filled with fish, ducks, and turtles. Its awesome when the ducks start laying their eggs everywhere and the little babies hatch. Security is nice but there isn't really a need for them. Only to maybe tell people to keep quit in the spa late at night. They finish the new gym which is nice. Parking is fine since we paid for an extra garage and if anyone comes over they can park in the street. The one bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and an awesome atrium. Management leaves you alone most of the time, besides saying Hi. But I have never had any problems here. I wish I could pick up and move it over to San Deigo.

Staffs need to work on their attitude. When you go to the office, they give you a look like you just stole their puppy. Also, they need to learn how to talk to their own residents; they don't seem to understand that the residents are their clients and they need to treat the residents nicely. Other than that property is nice and safe, just staffs seem to need overhaul.

Some minor problems, but overall not bad

I live in a 1 bedroom unit, and will be moving out as soon, but would be more than willing to stay were it not so expensive to live alone. That said, that Lake has some issues that can't be ignored. First, parking is bad if you don't have a spot or want to invite a guest. Because there are so many other apartments in the area, good luck trying to park along the street! Though the parking is all gated, security is still rather lax since the doors are often wide open. In fact, one of the doors was missing a lock for over a month all together, and when they finally fixed it they neglected to give me a key to the new lock! The staff isn't exactly going to win any awards, but I've always found them helpful. They've responded to any issues very promtly and have never had any reason to complain. If you have a problem, you must bring it to their attention or they will never fix it, but once you do they seem very capable and willing to help. The units themselves are both good and bad. My unit is very spacious, and… See More>

                      Great improvements

I have lived here for about 10 years now and I ve seen how the complex was going to the toilet, however, since the new management took over you can immediately the progress and improvements in the whole property. Is being hectic and noisy but at the end it all necessary, the complex had very bad management and super bad maintenance, now even though we only have one maintenance guy everything is falling in place. Definitely like this place and recommended 100% to live here

6 month leased, and in that 6 months, I had no complaints. I kept my apt in clean order and recieved a full refund on my security deposit. However, I did pay for a professional carpet cleaning the day before I handed in my keys with the reciept. I would rent there again, should I live in Fullerton again.

                              great landscaping horrible neighbors

I currently live at the Lake and have lived here for 6 months. During the day it is peaceful. I love having the fountains, the waterfowl and the beautiful landscaping. At night however, there is always mobs of loud drunken college students carring on like idiots all throughout the complex. They scream at the top of their lungs and say things that are so stupid, I cannot believe they actually attend college. Mommy and Daddy pay for their apartments, so of course the world must revolve around them. It's frustrating for those of us who have to get up early and work for a living.

I lived there for over a year, the first year was fine. A few maintenence issues they were extremely slow to fix, but pretty good other than that. Then the entire management staff went down the drain. My apartment flooded twice due to slab leaks, took them FOREVER to fix it. They never even repaired somethings or painted the walls where the plumbers had to break through the sheetrock. They are going to have serious plumbing problems in the future. When it was time to move out, they had fired the entire management staff, brought in new people, and I had to give them pictures of the water damage to prove it even happened or they were going to charge us for it!! Parking for visitors totally sucks. They have A/C, but in general the place was overly hot the electric bills were too high to keep the place cool. I loved the layout of the apartment, my garage was great, and the ducks were fun to feed, but it wasn't worth the maintenence issues and the fact that every new lease had an increase in rent. We got our damage… See More>

                                    no parking

I actually went there to look at a one bedroom and the leasing office manager or agent was of a b***h saying she was honestly too busy to show a apartment and it will probably be rented soon and to come back later. That area is really crowded with cars and I had a really hard time finding a place to park at 10:00 am on a Tuesday. Big area for police to patrol too as this a haven for drug people to live. So, I didn't and i found a better place anyway. Besides the place was right next to the laundry room and trashy carport area. Oh, and the illegal they got on the weekends is really hard to understand and should not be helping people with leasing apartments. She does not even show the whole property and then says to come back when her boss is her. Then you try to leave a hold deposit and she doesn't understand what the means. I also noticed the resident tow truck driver hooking up to two cars while i was there. I lived briefly at the greenhouse apartments next door a 10 years ago… See More>

This is a beautiful, quiet, gated complex with ponds/streams, fountains, fish, ducks etc. The fountains effectively eliminate the nearby freeway noise. Interesting layouts - not typical box-like apartments. GREAT sound insulation between units. Very limited street parking, but reserved resident spaces behind gates. We've rented as newlyweds for 5 months and love it. With water everywhere, this is not a place for small children.

I didn´t move there but I was curious about the apartment because the rating is high. The day I walked in, the salesman, I mean... the manager, was very nice. He showed us around, he is a cool guy. I wanted to live there but my friend told me he caught the manager lied. The manager just started working there, according to what he said but he made himself looked good by saying he knows a lot about the apartment, even its history. We purposely asked him some questiones, like a guy complaint in this website earlier, the rent. The manager said he haven´t been seeing a big increase for a whole year...
Be honest with you, we asked the same questions to all the managers but most of them don´t know the answers. If they don´t know, just honestly tell people "I don´t know". Don´t make up stories and later on people found that was a lie. That´s not cool.
i walked out the apartment and I was discussing with my friend. We both agree that he should be a car salesman.
