Horrible. They won’t answer their main phone. Not good for tenants

They only have one phone number and you can’t get ahold of anyone on the office. You can’t even leave a VM. I tried for 4 days callings all different times and no one answered. How can you operate a business w tenants like that?… See More>

    Don’t lease here

Signed my lease in April and requested parking in a garage. When I called in June to confirm that I had a Garage they informed me I was never put on a list for it, so Instead of getting upset I asked for a regular parking spot. Upon moving In on august 18th, the informed me I was on a wait list for parking. They never mentioned a wait list when I signed my lease or when I called in June to make sure I could have parking. I went in today and they said there wasn’t anything they could do for me and I’d have to figure out parking somewhere else. The only place I could find parking was at a target down the street. I pay $1200 a month to live here and can’t even park not to mention the air conditioning doesn’t even cool anything but the front room. So, if you want to spend $1200 a month on a room with no ac and no parking come live at University Village Fullerton. The workers here are terrible at communicating, I would not recommend leasing here

      Terrible experience since construction

Please read if you are a student considering leasing here. This apartment is very inconsiderate towards students. Construction is loud and messy. The leasing office informed residents that construction would not begin prior to 8am and no work on Sundays. However, the Sunday before finals week (5/15/2022), construction was happening at 7am. I have reached out various times to the leasing office about this issue and they ignore me, showing how inconsiderate they are to students. They take advantage of students since they are young and are not aware of what’s right and wrong. For instance, they shut off our water with less than a 4 hour notice for 4 hours for a non-emergency reason. Another time there were cement trucks pouring concrete until 9:30pm on a Thursday. It’s very hard to get any school work done here, especially since they closed the student center and gym due to construction. They clearly have many issues that has affected the residents due to lack of planning. Construction is supposed to be done by the summer but I’m not surprised if it continues and the new residents have to suffer through it. Parking is also a major issue here. They give every… See More>

Do NOT move in here if you are a female and value your safety and your life. My daughter and her roommate have been sexually harassed, followed and intimidated by some of the scum male residents that live there. Today, my daughter was threatening and cursed at. This piece of scum also told her that he would “shoot you in the face” all because she told him to back off and leave her alone. She called me scared and waited in her car for her roommate to walk her to their apartment. She did call 911 and made a police report. If you are a parent reading this, no NOT allow your daughters to move in here.

I have lived in Oxford North from 2019 September to 2020 August. My room is big room in 3 beds units of building 2030 that cost around 1050$ (with our own wifi carrier purchase because wifi is not provided here). Here are some pros and cons that 1.only reflect my personal opinion 2.only rating my living area. Pros: 1. Beds provided 2. Nice closet and drawer provided. 3. TV provided 4. Maintenance always respond fast when you send an email 5. Office members always available for communication 6. Price fairly low around the area but depend on which house plan you get 7. Fast online payment methods Cons: 1. Noisy neighborhood -- always ppl shouting outside the window/driving loud cars around midnight. Recently lot of fireworks. 2. Poor community security -- my bike was stolen while locked up in the dedicated area for bikes. The office could not provided security camera footage although there is a camera. There is no/very less security equipments inside the community. 3. No light -- specifically for not-renewal rooms, no light source in your own room so you have to figure that out. 4. No sunlight/too much sunlight -- specially for building on the west… See More>

Worst place to live in Fullerton. Don't Come here. They promise you things and they don't keep their promise. Say goodbye to your 500 dollars deposit cause you're never going to get it back, if you're lucky you'll get half of it. The food is here is disgusting. It was my worst year in college. My car got keyed and their cameras don't even work. Don't come here!

I spent 10 weeks at Fullerton Village this summer while I took Grad. Classes at CSUF. My nursing advisor recommended them and I am very glad that she did. They do an exceptional job at the village. The staff are friendly and go over and beyond to help. The grounds are immaculate. They are a very proactive organization. The pool is beautiful and the real treat was the dining and food. Two meals a day are incorporated into your rental fee. The food was healthy and the options were wonderful. It is a gated area which is wonderful for safety. It is within walking distance to the college. There is a beautiful arboretum across the street. Free WiFi was always dependable. I would give them an A which is hard to come by in my book. Laura Padron RN

I lived at Fullerton University Village for two years and loved it. It is an ideal place for students to live while they atending school. The staff in the office and in the cafeteria have always been very helpful and friendly. The food is great, I eevn had sack lunches prepared for me to take to school on days I was gone all day. The place is pretty safe, they have RAs on duty and Ialways found security to be courteous. I would recommend this place , you will undoubtedly meet so many people from all over the world and make lasting friendships. Awesome college enviornment, fun and best part, food is prepared.

Comfortable and friendly. My niece, nephew and I toured Fullerton University Village earlier this summer. While my nephew ended up living somewhere else, as he's attending school up North, my niece is looking forward to it. Staff and some of the residents actually gave her a good idea of what to expect and how to enjoy living there, by really making use of the various amenities. She doesn't need a gym membership as he can work out downstairs if she wants (usually uses a yoga mat and rope anyways). We wanted to save money by not buying a parking permit at CSUF so she'll be riding her bike to campus. We tried the food at the dining hall/cafe... definitely not cafeteria food. Tomato basil pizza and ice cream for dessert certainly helped. Will post a follow-up in a few months.

University Village has been more than just another apartment complex; it has been my home away from home. The amazing moments I have had here are ones I will never forget. The office staff is always able to help with any issues that may come up. The events are amazing!! The chance to win a prize or just be able to have fun with your friends makes it more spectacular. The food is amazing (especially the days they have Mongolian BBQ, made to order!!) The five years I have lived here are truly unforgettable. I have made so many friends that I will never forget. The rent is a reasonable price for everything they offer! If you are looking for a great place to live, with great staff, great food, and great times, Fullerton University Village is the place to live.

My amazing college experience can solely be attributed to living at Fullerton University Village, and for numerous reasons. I lived at Fullerton University Village for two years and can honestly say they were the two most amazing years of my college career. I met friends from all across the world, had several awesome roommates, and enjoyed not having to cook for myself. The convenience of living at the Fullerton University Village is worth the cost because of the amenities that the complex offers and its close proximity to the CSUF campus. You are never alone and there is always someone to talk to or hangout with. There are fun events, great prizes and giveaways, and awesome people and staff. I highly recommend living at Fullerton University Village.

Found another cockroach crawling all over my bed this morning.... What a pleasant surprise to be waking up to... I lost it in my room somewhere, so it's probably plotting its evil demise against me while I sleep again. I was going to move to the living room to go sleep and brought my pillow over to the couch. When I went to go bring my blanket to the living room, I jumped because I saw something huge crawling on the floor. Yup, you guessed it. ANOTHER COCKROACH. DISGUSTING........ I don't know if that's the same one from my room or if that's an entirely different one. Either way, yuck! It was crawling away from the couch area toward my room, so I have a feeling it may be a different one. This time, there was no time to call for help. I had to take action myself. I got a container and caught the vile thing! I'm not sure what to do with it because I still don't want to go anywhere near it... And I'm not going to throw it outside like the late night RA did just so it can come crawling… See More>

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THE UNIVERSITY VILLAGE. The rent is outrageous compared to what you actually get for the money. Roaches and bedbugs are not uncommon! Keep reading for more info. The rent for me was $995 a month for a "large" room and shared bathroom with another tenant. The kitchen in the apartment is filthy. It works but it's not clean and there was burnt in stains on the walls from someone cooking like a ------ and I guess the maintenance crew were to lazy to do something about it. I know that they knew about it cause when I moved in they roughly wrote down the state of the apt and they noted the stains. Anyway, the bathroom is more or less filthy too. The shower has stains all over it inside which doesn't go away and the mirrors by the sink are chipped. The room itself looks decent but it's crap. They say that you get a desk and a desk lamp etc. etc., but there's not even an outlet by the desk and the carpet in the room is disgusting. I also found roaches in my room and the people at the office didn't even seem to care!… See More>

The management here is horrible. The main lady is a nightmare to deal with. She is never any help and always just makes you frustrated for the whole day. Parking is a nightmare here during the school year. It is fine during the summer but no one lives here. You can hear everything happening in the rooms around you. They dont make any effort for roommate matches. They are horrible at matching roomates even after filling out a long roommate question and answer survey. If something is broken in the apartment, dont expect it to be fixed any time soon. Even with constantly bugging the office about it it took forever. The management at this property is clearly out of touch with how to deal with customers. I would highly recommend staying far away from this place. Oh did I mention the roaches???? Do your self a favor and find somewhere else.

Over the summer is great! during the year, not as good...

I lived here for about 6 months, about half was during the school year and half was over the summer. Parking is a complete nightmare during the school year, and if you leave after 6pm, good luck getting a spot! But there is plenty of street parking so not too bad, and worst case scenario just park at the school and move your car in the morning. Impossible on street cleaning days though... Food isn't too bad. Not like mom's home cooking, but pretty good. It was nice having the option of a fully balanced meal with a salad bar, and I likely saved a couple hundred per month because of the dining hall. Also nice that you can get a bagged lunch to go. I had a few problems with billing (being quoted a different rate than I was charged), but ultimately they worked with me to an agreement that worked for both of us. Both my roommate and I got all of our security deposit back, but from what I heard from others it is often tough to get that back. The apartments seemed very convenient for my first year at college, however it would have been more worth my time and money and to look elsewhere. There is no parking during the week and street sweeping on Tuesday mornings for public streets near the school so Monday nights and Tuesday mornings are especially disastrous. The office staff are a hit or miss, if they are having a bad day, your day will also be hell. The grounds are clean, but the walkways have a lot of of trees and bushes growing into them, which seems like it would not be such a problem, but it becomes a problem when carrying anything or passing another resident. The food is horrible unless its Tacos or Mongolian BBQ. If you a vegetarian or vegan, I would stay away. They label things they cook with chicken fat and beef broth as vegetarian because it doesn't have any meat chunks in the dish. I am vegan and only use their salad bar and I have to ask for fresh fruit. The RA system works, but not to the residents benefit. I have lived at University Village for two years now and have grown to hate it even more since last year. The office management here is rude and inconsiderate of your opinion. All they want, like everyone else says, is your money. Which is way too expensive. The main reason I came back a second year was because of the meal plan so I wouldn't have to cook for myself. The food is mediocre and on occasion you get a good meal. The hours are very short for the meals and breakfast is only half an hour in the morning. The apartments are old and beat up and need maintenance quite often. They limit each apartment to only 10 people per apartment including the 4 that already live there. Good luck having friends over. I did meet a lot of people here and that was one of the only good things about this place. I enjoyed the "college life" for awhile but security and the RA's are at your door breaking anything up very quickly. Maybe if the management was more considerate and a little nicer, I would maybe like it here. Oh, and good luck finding a parking spot… See More>

Thank you for taking the time to review Fullerton University Village. While we regret that your experience at FUV was less than extraordinary, we would like to clairfy two points you touched on in your review. 1. The Food: Food is made and prepared fresh on a daily basis. For that reason, the time windows associated with breakfast, lunch and dinner allow the cooks the time to prepare each meal with care, including all food prep, baking and culinary design. Breakfast is served daily for 30 minutes between 10:30am & 11:00am. Lunch runs from 11:00am to 1:30pm and Dinner runs from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We also have a sack lunch program in which you can have a gourmet lunch prepared for you to take to campus with you. We do appreciate your concerns over the tight breakfast time window and will forward it on to Bon Apetit, the company who manages the cafeteria's operations. 2. Resident Advisors and The Rules In addition to organizing dozens of social events and activities every academic year, our Resident Advisors also look out for the needs of others, including: safety, rule violations and more. With that, if there are 10 or more people gathering in an apartment and causing a nuissance to neighbors or roommates, out of courtesy to those who are being inconvenienced, a Resident Advisor will step in to make sure everyone is capable of enjoying their "quiet" time at home. Certainly you would rather have your party broken up by a Resident Advisor than the University or Fullerton Police Departments. While it is important to have a good time and enjoy yourself, it is also important to be considerate to your neighbors and the community you live in. Again, thank you for your input. We take all comments and concerns seriously and hope to have addressed your issues.

                                            Horrible experience

These apartments are horrible. They are old and dingy and in constant need of repair. The remote for the garage space I paid for is always broken, the internet connection is non-existent. How do they expect college students to do their work with no internet. It is a joke. The front office staff is rude and do not care about anything other than taking your money. Although they are in a good location right across from CSUF I would not recommend paying the high price for these apartments. There are 4 of us in a 3 bedroom apartment paying $1000 each!!!! The meal plan is horrible, food is not good and the hours are few. . . lunch and dinner only, no breakfast.

Thank you for taking the time to review Fullerton University Village. While we regret that your experience at FUV was less than extraordinary, we would like to point out that we do in fact have a full-time maintenance team to promptly address and repair our residents' maintenance issues during business hours. We also have after-hours, emergency maintenance services available for those unfortunate occurrences outside of business hours. However, if these issues are not reported, we have no way to address or repair the problems. We have 6 wi-fi antennas on-site to enhance the wireless internet experience we offer our residents. Regarding your rates, I would encourage you to survey the market area. Our Fall 2010 Rates start at just $845 per month on a 10 month lease.

                                              Take it from experience!

At first this place seemed nice... I met some cool people and made good friends living here. However it is very overpriced and management is always looking for any way to take your money! The whole office staff is very rude and conduct themselves like children on most occasions. I would recommend avoiding them at all cost unless you enjoy being talked down to, and or crazy people! Parking is horrible and the food selection is scarce and only good when it's mexican. The apartments are small and dingy for the price you pay and there are always problems, for which you will get blamed. So unless you're only coming for the social aspect of it I would not recommend living here!

                                                NOT WORTH IT

If you are considering moving here to get the "college experience" don't do it!!! Yes, you can meet people and attend events, but you will find very quickly that it is not worth it! This place is INCREDIBLY expensive and the rooms are pretty dumpy, considering how much you are paying. The bathrooms are gross and basic convenience items (garbage disposal, dish washer, air conditioner and heater) are not provided or do not work. the food is mediocre, but the worst is parking! It is terrible. If you loose your spot during the week, you can forget about parking in the lot until the weekend. They tow frequently and without warning. The office staff is rude and inconsiderate, and generally unhelpful. And all the posts about not getting your deposit back are true!! They will give you a fraction of your deposit, even if you keep the place in immaculate condition. Also, they claim to match roommates up according to interests, habits ect. That's another huge load of BS. I got stuck with the worst, most horrible roommates, and not only did they do nothing to help, they made me pay $150 to switch rooms. Do NOT live here, I… See More>

A: There is no security. Young women should not live here. They will be harassed and stalked by the scum male residents...even threatened to be shot in the face for telling a scumbag male to back off. It is NOT a safe environment for women. Police do nothing.
