If you are a prospective applicant moving into the regent, move in at your own risk and be prepared for headaches. I moved out of here in January 2009 because I couldn t handle it anymore. NOISE- The walls are thin and I can hear my neighbors talking. Unless your neighbor is quiet, you will have a miserable time living here. Also, Just Tires is right next door so don t plan on sleeping in the mornings. PARKING- Parking is completely awful. There is no street parking. When I was a prospective applicant, Norris promised me a spot. When I signed my contract, he lied to me and said there were no spots available. I had to pay Norris $200 secretly to move me ahead on the waiting list. Plus, Norris keeps track of who parks where in his mind. C mon, how hard is it to create an Excel Spreadsheet with the entire residents name and where they are parked? Norris will randomly assign someone to your parking spot. Also, all the parking spots are compact but people living here will double park their cars and you will have scratches on your car trying to park. MANAGER- Norris Young. Worst. Apartment Manager. Ever. This guy must have the easiest job in the world. The sign in front of his office says his office hours are Mon-Sat from 10am-5pm but he only works like 1-3pm 2 days a week. He never returns your phone messages and if you call his cell phone, he will make some stupid excuse like, I m at a bank right now, I ll call you back when I m done but he never does. One time my garbage disposal broke, I left him 10 messages and he never called back. So I had to take my lunch break from work and went to his office to confront him and he blamed it all on his Maintenance guy, Jorge, who he claims lost the messages. My lawyer had to confront Norris to eventually get him to fix the apartment. Oh by the way, never ask to speak with Norris s boss because Norris will give you his friend s cell phone number pretending to be his boss and if you accuse Norris for being lazy, he will throw a hissy fit and play the race card. SECURIT DEPOSIT- I moved out in January and I still haven t received my security deposit. My attorney calls Norris and every week Norris makes up some excuse like his bookkeeper lost my address or his boss was in France the past month and couldn t sign the check. Now I have to go to small claims court to get my deposit back. The truth is, if there were no damages to your apartment, Norris and his boss will keep your check as long as possible to earn interest from it. UTILITIES Most apartments in Glendale pay for water and trash. However, Lazy Norris sets up Istabills to charge the residents for water and trash. This service sucks because Istabills charges like $3 service fee each time. Plus, not all of the residents have to pay for water and trash. So you might be paying the bills for the other residents. When you move out make sure to call istabills yourself to discontinue service because Norris wont. Bottom line, if you move here be prepared to hire a lawyer because you will need it. Oh and if you show Norris this ratings and other negative ones, he will say something like these ratings are negative because of all the haters out there who were evicted. I was NOT evicted. I moved out because Norris is absent minded and immature.
