Small cheap units by catholic church (with perpetual sign about anti abortion and once an hour church bells) - built long ago for nuns and summer living only - Uninsulated walls = cold and moldy in winter. So cold my bed was wet with condensation each night and this had never happened to me before. It was the same bed that I always used. Can hear through the floors too easily. Curtains old, torn, off tracks, tracks broken. Old single paned windows - cold, don't latch closed, hard to wind open or close. Mgt very rude and unprofessional. Roommate left town, I did not have mail key, and mgt would not help out by looking for my letter. Stolen doormat, neighbor said he saw maintenance at stair way, office said impossible - they were not near our apt. Later maintenance admitted to taking it saying they thought it was theirs. Mgt would not replace! Old inadequate window screens - framed only on top and bottom so sides gape wide open letting all bugs in - mosquitoes, flies, etc. Law says landlord to provide solid screens but could not get health dept to force mgt to fix as Bon Air too big a landlord in county. Owners filthy rich - own all the apts on this hill and the local shopping center. Yet too cheap to fix screens, have skilled maintenance, or courteous intelligent office staff.
