I lived there for about 6 months. Beautiful place and really nice, but you will pay through the nose to live there. I paid over $2400 for a ONE BEDROOM (just sold my home and had to find a place asap) and then found out that they will sometimes change their rental rates daily. By the time I left the same apartment was going for $2100. Even though a few apartment rental sites said utilities were included, NONE of them are. You will even have to pay for trash, water along with electricity (including that needed to keep the lights OUTSIDE your unit on - like in the hallways - WHAT??). Even if your place was freshly painted when you move in, they will insist on charging you a minimum of 4 hrs for a "painter" to "repaint" even if you only stayed there a few months. This is adverse to what CA law says they can do. They will find every way imaginable to keep the deposit you gave them - even if you leave the place impeccable. They try to charge you a "cleaning fee" even if you have it spotless when you leave. They will also refuse to let a new tenant sign a lease within 10 days of you leaving as they "need at least 10 days to flip the unit". How can that be if they don't need to paint or clean it? But they will insist that you continue paying rent for those 10 days. VERY noisy if you live on the 1st or 2nd floors facing 2nd street. Traffic noise is awful, including beeping garbage trucks 4x/wk and rowdy bar patrons walking by after bars close. Great that they allow dogs, but awful about getting renters to keep them quiet. Certain units had dogs barking at ALL hours of the day/night. You'll be assigned a parking spot, but I guarantee you that it will be the FURTHEST away from your unit. Good luck waiting for the elevator as well - runs slow, if at all, and always seems to be busy. This would be a much better deal if they had better office staff and lower rent.
