Resident · 2011 - 2013
I lived here with a friend of mine for two years until I moved to NYC for a job at the beginning of 2014. We loved living here and were sad to leave. The manager (who lived above us) was always very considerate of the noise they made walking around (even though we may have heard them only once in our entire stay) and always had an open flow of communication regarding our well being and comfort in the building. The place is central to a greener side of Hollywood just minutes walking to public transportation, shopping, attractions, gyms, and good eateries. We both enjoyed our time here. This may run contradictory to other posts shared on this site, but you must understand how awful the place was before the management changed in 2011. The place was home to deadbeats that would allow non-members into the building to spend the night in the common areas, for example. The place was as noisy as a fraternity and really an unpleasant place to live decently. It goes without saying then that once the party ended, few of those former residents liked the result and used outlandish claims fueled by their anger in retribution. Would I apply for an apartment at this location if I were moving back to LA? Absolutely! Maintenance requests were handled very quickly and efficiently and the managers were always working in tandem with the local police department to foster a safer neighborhood. If you are a decent, respectable human being, than you will easily love your tenancy. If you are not, than you will be miserable just about anywhere.
