The prices are great for an Irvine apartment complex with the amenities that it has. Nice square footage, washer/dryers, dishwashers, garages, and a great location next to the Marketplace. The maintenance staff is the other good part about the complex. Super friendly and nice, plus they usually come and fix our problems the same day that we call -even weekend afternoon.
The biggest problem is the neighbors. I can deal with children- I know sometimes they cry and scream. However, there is loud music, talking, and revving cars at night. We've had packages stolen from our front porch. This was upsetting to me because I've never had a package stolen before- and I've lived at a lot of complexes. Neighbors also leave trash and cigarette butts in the hallways. Can't open any of my windows because the neighbors are constantly smoking on their balcony. Better security might fix this- it's a gated community, but I'm more concerned about my neighbors than people coming into the complex.
We'll probably end up moving out because we are dealing with a downstairs neighbor who plays loud music from 1 pm- 3 am without fail everyday. Our floor is constantly thumping and vibrating, and despite speaking to him and the night security staff, there has been no resolution. You get what you pay for in terms of neighbors.
There also appears to be some structural issues with the buildings. Some have cracks in the facade, which I assume is from earthquake damage or something. Some staircases are being supported by wood beams- I'm assuming because they are not structurally sound. Bathrooms do not have strong enough ventilation, causing mold to happen no matter what you do.
