San Carlo Apartments

I am a prospective renter and have looked at about 5 IAC properties recently. My husband and I are considering San Carlo for the following reasons: 1. Great, convenient location between the 5 and 405 freeways. 2. Apartments have more of a condo-feel, with each unit having a private entry - nice to not have other residents or their guests walking by your front door. 3. Nice floorplans - I especially loved the double-sinks in the Master Bath...not too many IAC properties have that. Nice kitchens with granite counter tops and upgraded cabinetry (and lots of it). Full size side-by-side washers & dryers. 4. Leasing Consultant, Amir, was the BEST one we have seen out of all the IAC properties we visited. I know we probably wouldn't have to deal with him too much if we become residents, but it was still nice to know that there is a great staff member there. These are our areas of concern: 1. Parking may be problematic...not sure if there is ample space. 2. Fitness centers look small...but, not that big of a deal since we have gym memberships. 3. Only 1 pool, and it is pretty small. They said we can use the pools at local parks, but not sure how crowded those get. 4. No clubhouse there...not sure if we would ever even use it, but it's nice to have the option. Overall, we liked what we saw and are considering this as one of our top choices along with Orchard Hills (if we decide to rent in a complex). If we do end up becoming residents at San Carlo, I will update my review and let you all know how we like it.
