Resident 2001 - 2003

6/21/2004

I lived here for 1 1/2 years, and my apartment faced Orange (the bldg is on the corner of orange and ocean) on the ground floor. I didn't have much trouble with the noise thankfully although I can imagine living in one of the front units may have been a problem. Truthfully I have never lived in a sturdier or quieter building and I lament leaving it at least once a week. It felt like a well built home and I really miss that. doors shut snugly, walls were thick, I could not hear my neighbors on either side and one of them had a newborn. I had a garbage disposal problem once and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. other than that, no problems at all. The living room and bedrooms were HUGE, A/C, ahhh the life........ the parking was cruddy though (tandem, 2 to a spot) and friends could never visit because there was virtually no street parking and yes my car was broken into as well in the parking structure, but the neighborhood isn't that bad, I felt like I could walk safely and neighbors were very nice. George, the manager was soooo sweet, really helpful, and I think that is priceless. Trust me, I've lived in Los Feliz, Silverlake, all over long Beach, El Segundo, Studio city, bleh, this apartment was the nicest place I ever lived.
