I've lived a lot of places and I've never hated a building as much as this one. It's historic, which is nice, but it's not kept up very well. Things are frequently dirty and often broken. Gym equipment is broken, the patio area is in disrepair, etc. And just the general level of cleanliness is severly lacking. But that might have a lot to do with the drunken partiers who live here. It gets very frustrating finding empty beer bottles all over the place. It's gotten to the point where I simply don't visit the common areas. The management has improved in the time that I've lived here, but it hasn't been enough. They're still not very effective at dealing with noice or disturbances in the building. Parking is also inadequate, since they open it up to the public during the day. Security is also quite lacking, since the guards will let anybody into the building. I've actually heard the guards direct strangers off the street to a party in the building. No ID checking, no signing in....nothing. I find it extremely suspicious the sudden volley of positive reviews on this site, all within days of each other. It sure feels like management desperately trying to put a positive spin on this place. It's too little, too late. I've begun my apartment search and when I tell other property managers where I live currently, they shake their heads sympathetically and say, "Yeah, we've heard things about that place."
