Resident 2016 - 2017

7/27/2017

This place was awful. The management only cared for themselves. One of the first issues my roommates and I encountered was trash. Trash would pile up outside of the dumpster area either because the dumpsters got full or people were too lazy to open the hatches and put their trash inside, so it would pile up around the trash area and look and smell terrible. Having to walk by this trash everyday did not make coming home a pleasant experience. The next issue we ran into was people parking in our assigned parking spaces. We notified management numerous times it occurred. If there was a parking violation during business hours, they would just go put a violation sticker on the violator's car. If a parking violation occurred after hours there was absolutely nothing you could do. We spoke with management about the after hours parking violations and they could only say that they had a "Security Patrol" that would document violations, however, I did run into the security patrol one evening and they only thing they could do was document the violation and would not enforce towing. We "owned" two parking spaces, however, fellow tenants felt that they could park anywhere and over the course of our lease we had somebody parking in one of our spaces at least once a month. We did see management enforce towing on a couple of occasions, however, they would only tow people that parked in the "Future Tenant" parking that weren't identified as being people in the main office. To say the least, management only towed parking violators if it inconvenienced their own profit and cared not for the residents or the parking of the residents. We even had one person from the office park in one of OUR OWN spaces. Their excuse was "That person was on vacation and the space was a 'Free' space before they left." I don't have enough words for the amount of frustration the management staff put my roommates and I in. Guest parking is non-existent, forget about having friends over. There is no way to "buzz" a guest in or delivery personnel. They allowed some mail delivery people through but it was only to convenience the management staff as they wouldn't have to deal with the tenants packages, but you as a tenant cannot authorize entry of a guest or personal delivery service remotely from your apartment - you would have to go down open access yourself. Some may consider this as a security measure, however, tenants that lived there would put a rock in the door jam of security doors so they can go out and smoke and get back in, so the security in the complex is merely just an illusion. My recommendation is to stay as far away from this place as possible. I wouldn't wish this place upon my enemies. Finding an apartment in the Bay Area is brutal, the rent is ridiculous, the space is tiny, and if you go with a big corporate apartment chain the management staff can only do so much so they will not give a cluck about you. DO NOT make the mistake of choosing this apartment complex as your next home.
