MOVE HERE FOR A CONTACT HIGH!

I'd like to start this off by saying the positive reviews written below sound like a poor attempt at false advertising by the office staff at live oak and friends. It appears that they spend more time on here trying to defend themselves rather than fixing real concerns brought up by decent paying tenants. The office staff was very friendly when I was signing a lease. However, a few months ago I ran into a nurse at my doctors appointment who also happens to live at live oak. We swapped stories about the place, and she has the same issue with rude, noisy neighbors. She also told me, "I think Monica likes me because she gave me an apartment with an indoor laundry unit and I wasn't even on the waiting list." Goes without saying, I was very upset when I heard this because I was on the so-called "waiting list" for a laundry unit. Monica should be fired. In fact, the entire staff at live oak needs to be replaced by employees who are actually qualified, fair, and who show real concern for tenant issues. I moved into a lower unit at the start of 2012 with my grandmother because she couldn't make it up and down the stairs. I didn't actually get to walk through the unit I'd be living in when I inquired about an apartment here, instead one of the office staff, Monica, showed me a 'demo' unit. Beware of this 'demo'. For one thing, they don't rent out the upstairs unit so it seems quiet. I instantly regretted signing a lease the day I moved into the actual apartment. I found that the unit upstairs had been rented to a very rude woman, and her two noisy children. I put up with the noise for about a month thinking it would be enough time for the people upstairs to adjust to having a vacant unit below them, but it only got worse. It wasn't reasonable noise at all, the woman sounded like she was running a nursery up there because of all the friends her two kids would bring over. I called Monica (from a hotel) and expressed my concern and a month later the people moved into another unit a month later (Likely disturbing their new neighbors now). A new family moved in (a man, woman, and a baby). They are less tolerable. They both constantly smoke pot on the balcony leaving my apartment and the entire courtyard smelling like marijuana. I haven't called the office because they obviously don't screen their potential tenants, however, I am speaking to child services about that baby's living conditions. The traffic noise never bothered me, but the tenants here (especially upstairs) are rude and go about their habits with no consideration for the people below them. I would definitely think twice before moving here. Don't be fooled by A stroll through the courtyard and a glance at the pool. The staff is dishonest and unqualified, tenants are not screened properly, and the landscapers have their machines on from 7am-Noon, and there is only one entrance and exit to the entire complex after 10pm. Not to mention the laundry rooms are a filthy mess (maybe the office staff is used to living this way?). So think twice about moving to live oak if you have an ounce of class
