I've lived in this complex (Fall 2010). This complex is attractively maintained with lots of trees, but is older and not trying to appeal to those seeking a "luxury" apartment. Onsite management is responsive and helpful with both a rental office and a manager who lives there. I'll list some pros and cons based on my experience.
Pros: large amount of storage space throughout plus patio or balcony, some kitchen/baths have granite counters, tan carpet doesn't show too much dirt, large windows, covered parking, linoleum kitchen/bath in very good condition, excellent bathroom & dining room lighting, semi-heated pool and hot-tub are attractive in a grill/patio area, pool table and community room available, small gym, on-site laundry uses credit cards, neighborhood seems of average safeness and not too noisy, guest parking and "hotel" room onsite, rarely hear adjacent neighbors through walls or ceiling, electric stove, really close to San Antonio shopping center and CalTrain, architecture doesn't make me feel like I'm living in a motel, a security patrol does walk around occasionally at night
Cons: depending where your windows are located - you might not get a good breeze to ventilate your place, have to keep an eye out for humidity levels on ground floor/use a dehumidifier, no central air, no ventilator fan for bathroom, if you're near the pool pump, it can be noisy with windows open - use a noise machine at night, gym is really dank, street parking limited, single-paned windows, older dishwasher, no overhead lighting fixture in the living room or bedroom - dark, many outlets not grounded (3 prong)
So I enjoy it there, it's peaceful and calm - but wish somethings were improved - same way I've felt about previous several apartments elsewhere.
