Summary: If you want to live in a shoebox apartment where you have to worry about your car being broken into regularly, you can find someplace for half the cost easily.

In my opinion, management doesn't seem to really care about anything. They live on site, yet they're late to show up and early to leave. Complaints are met with a "that's too bad" attitude. They've got it made, because of the housing market out here. Rent also continues to go up and up. The small stuff doesn't get repaired ever, like peeling groutwork, molding or trim.

Security is almost non-existent; they hire a pretty crappy company for a measly four hours in the evening. If your assigned spot is taken, they aren't allowed to tow. Cars can and will get broken into. The complex has no video monitoring or after-hours security whatsoever. It's a prime target.

I do not recommend living in Hawthorne Village. If they delivered what they claimed, they would be worth the price. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case. I'm an unhappy resident.
