I would strongly caution people against moving into any building managed by Lassen Associates. I was there on August 11 when the building caught on fire. We had no warning to get out in terms of the fire alarms, and the fire was raging just 2 floors above us. Strange, considering the fact that the alarms used to be really sensitive.

Management had no compassion at all for their residents, or I should say, FORMER residents. Those displaced had been promised that they´d be found alternate accommodations and phone numbers were given to the manager. She never bothered to call us back, despite repeated attempts to get ahold of her.

On top of that, there have been reports that apartments affected by the fire may have been looted. We´ve heard that some people have found things missing from their units. The manager said that the building was secure, but why were apartment doors found unlocked in the fire damaged areas? The manager seems to have the mistaken idea that a "Do not enter sign" is a substitute for a lock.

For your sake and sanity, do not move into any building managed by Lassen Associates. That is, if you want your livelihood taken away from you.
