I´ve lived at Summit Crest Apartments from Jan 2000 to Aug 2003.

Summit Crest apartments is a decent place to live. The building itself is fine. It has gated parking (which is absolutely necessary) and two laundry rooms.

The building managers are Elizabeth and Bob, and Elizabeth is the one most people deal with. She´s an extremely nice person, and I trust her. She definitely doesn´t seem to be one of the "predatory" landlords that you read about.

Most of my neighbors in the building are polite and considerate. Occasionally, someone will move in who makes an outrageous amount of noise. I typically complain to management about the noise and they always take care of it. I´m extremely fortunate that in my apartment, the walls are thick enough to dampen most noise. I hear pretty much nothing of the everyday activities of my neighbors.

The neighborhood sucks though. If you don´t walk around after dark, you should be fine.

The building is a 15 minute walk away from BART, which is extremely nice. I lived at Summit Crest for a year and a half without a car. I could get everywhere using BART and buses.

My rent is cheap, because I´ve lived there since the time when rent was low. Nowadays (Aug 2003) the rent has gone up.
