Our family of 5 with a small dog and 3 kids could not have lived in a better apartment complex. The spacious, clean, quiet, friendly and well maintained Ironwood Apartments at Empire Lakes was a place our family enjoyed for the last 6 months. As you enter the front gates you notice the refreshingly crystal clear, clean and inviting pool and spa, nicely landscaped with shaded areas for retreat from the sun. We only broke our lease in order to move into the boundary of the high school our daughter wanted to attend. The break lease clause is very reasonable for mobile business people and families, only requiring an additional months rent. The management and staff is friendly and outgoing, professional and courteous and caring about your needs and the office is open at convenient hours after 5 and on weekends. Our apartment was spacious and quiet. The only noise was from our 2nd floor neighbor's little boy who ran around the living room every evening when his dad arrived home from work. In any apartment you can expect to hear your neighbors above, but we never heard any conversations, only occasional moving furniture or the little boy running around once a day. The sound was muted from the good insulation and construction between floors. We could always open our windows and enjoy the peace and quiet of the complex day or night. The interior of the apartment was newly painted, with crown molding trim, new clean carpet, huge bath room and large oval tub and shower, new and clean washer and dryer, and large closet and storage space in patio shed and garage. The kitchen appliances, spacious refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven/stove and dishwasher were clean and in excellent condition. The kitchen was open to the living/dining area making it feel even more roomy. There were energy efficient double-paned windows in every room making the whole apartment well lit and inviting for guests. The apartment complex has a beautiful pool and spa with abundant chairs and chaise lounge chairs and umbrella d tables for outdoor dining by the spa and 2 large outdoor gas grills. Almost every evening you can find friendly neighbors by the grills and at the pool and spas. The two large gas grills always have some inviting smokey aroma of steak, hamburgers or hot dogs with friendly people sharing a spacious grilling island near the pool. The hot tub is a place to make new friends. On almost any night you can meet a new friend, relax after work or school in the crystal clear and clean hot tub and then jump into the nearby pool to cool off. Right next to the hot tub is a huge outdoor fireplace with seating and just near that is the spacious workout room with plenty of exercise equipment and that is open 24 hours a day. The complex is peaceful and friendly. You often see couples walking with a dog through the driveways. There are ample pet stations to keep the grassy lawns clean. The landscaping is plentiful with a variety of trees and flowering plants that attract lots of hummingbirds that are very entertaining to watch from a spacious patio. Our patio had a partial view of the mountains and a beautiful sunset every evening. Our first floor apartment had very reasonable utility bills, partly because of being below another apartment, but also because of the abundant shade from trees planted all around every apartment building. The complex is right across the street from a new super Target with reasonably priced groceries. It is convenient to the malls and the airport and walking distance to many restaurants and retail stores. We highly recommend Ironwood at Empire Lakes Apartments for a business person or family.
