Can't wait to get out!!! I can hear every footstep of the upstairs neighbors, even worse when she runs to the door. Hear every slam of the neighbor's cabinets, front door and even conversations. This was somewhat tolerable since I work most of the time outside of the home, but not so much for my husband who works from home. Biggest issue is the leasing office staff. After letting the front office know that we're considering leaving, they raised our monthly rate by OVER $900 to go month-to-month. Asking us to pay over $2,200 for a 1-bedroom is absurd and was interpreted as "sign another years lease or LEAVE". Even though we can afford it, it's the principle of the matter that offends me. We've never paid late, they've never had an issue with us, and we've lived here for two years. We were actually considering a 3bedroom unit since we're expecting a baby and hubby needs an office. We're currently paying $75 a day to stay in an "ok" 1bdrm apartment and when we asked for them to verify our rental history with our potential new home, they said UNTIL YOU SIGN A 30 DAYS NOTICE, YOU'RE GETTING NOTHING. Ugh, we're trying to get approved for a new place so that we CAN give you a notice. Horrible customer service!!! Other negative issues: rent went up last year by over $100, $50 this year. Parking is a nightmare! Couples yelling and fighting on their balconies. Big dogs. Parties. Spiders and gnats everywhere. Called security once when we witness a home break-in, they never even got out of their car to check out the situation. We went to the front office the next morning to find out what happened, they couldn't give us any information. Positive aspects: walking distance to great places to eat and shop. Close to the freeways. The grounds are constantly being maintained (which can be noisy sometimes but at least they keep it looking nice). The layout of the 1bdrm den is cute. That's about it.
