OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE I would advise anyone who reads this to NOT live here. There are so many other options in the area, that Santa Barbara is not worth your time or your money. To start with, the parking is an absolute joke. If your vehicle does not fit in the garage, you have to get a parking pass. These passes are just temporary passes that only last three days. It's so frustrating having to get a new parking pass every three days. And to make it worse, if you don't have a pass, they will tow your car. I saw someone's car getting towed just the other night. When you are paying as much as you do to live in this community, they should not be towing, or even threaten to tow tenants vehicles. If you don't have a pass, the only way to not have to worry about getting your car towed is to park outside of the community on the street. Also, I was told that if my vehicle did not fit in the garage, that I could get an oversized parking pass, but that has never happened and I was told by the manager that it would not happen. I feel that we were told many empty promises before we moved in. Speaking of empty promises. We were told that if you have a pet, that they would do a DNA sample for the dog. The reason for this was so that they could tell who isn't picking up their dogs mess. Well, they have never taken a swap on our dog, but they did make us pay $35 for it. And, there is dog poop everywhere. For a community that is supposed to be so nice and luxurious, it's amazing how much dog crap is all over. Especially at the dog park. It's more like the dog park is just a litter box for dogs. It smells so bad and dog crap is everywhere. I really don't care to go on anymore. I think you get the point. I know that no place is perfect, but when you are told one thing, and led to believe what you are told, and then find out that it's not true, it's very frustrating. Especially when you are paying almost $3,000 a month. It's just not worth it.
