Please take the time to read this if you are considering moving into the Mountain view apartments! I will try my best to not get into too much detail. First of all, I have lived here for almost six years. Not until last year did I start to have real serious problems. I used to love these apartments and was able to ignore certain things that annoyed me, though now after a couple incidents...I am over these apartments. The first problem is that terra vista street is NOT a quiet street because of the ridiculously loud engine cars that fly through full speed and rumble my entire home. Second, the landscape maintenance crew IS REDICUOLUS. The upkeep is good, but there is no such thing as a peaceful morning with your patio door open. Third, these apartments, or at least the section I am in has become increasingly ------. The lady behind me screams bloody murder at her kids and her husband is always yelling at her telling her that he's going to beat her up if she doesn't do what he says. It's funny...as I am writing this a group of young children ran by playing tag and yelling, "I'm not F&*$ing "it." Anyway, just last week I had to call the police at 2:00 a.m. because the tenet downstairs, which was a drunk man, was banging on his windows and trying to kick his front door open because his wife wouldn't let him in. He was yelling at the top of his lungs, "Open the F*&%ing door." Aside from all the noise...what disappoints me more than anything else is how poorly the office handled a problem I had regarding my car. The cement crew they had paved a sidewalk in front of my car and spit cement water across the ENTIRE left side of my brand new car!!!! They then threw a 4 foot piece of plastic over my car (useless) and apparently continued to work. As a result I have a beautiful new car COVERED from hood to trunk in large water spots. The frustrating part is when I reported it, the office took pictures of my now MUDDY car and said they would file a report and get back to me within a few weeks, which they NEVER did. After about a month I went back to the office, found out a report was never filed, thus attempted to file another one and again was told I would be called in up to 6 weeks. After 2 months and no response I called and was told to submit a receipt for the cost of a SEVEN DOLLAR car wash!! I was so frustrated at this point because I had already submitted the receipt and filed the complaint and waited months for a response...that I went to the office and...got very upset...long story short...after all this time and effort they finally told me, there is nothing they can do, that it is a matter I need to take up with my insurance....WOW! Keep in mind that I only briefed through all this. I could go on for much longer. Everyone's experience is different. You may have a great experience. I suggest looking into who your neighbors are before signing a lease. Oh yeah, and don't count on the landscape maintenance crew blowing all the dirt from the ground back off of your car. Count on having a car that looks like it went through a sand storm seven days a week.
