Don t be fooled. Everyone wants to portray a beautiful front door, but the Highridge apartment complex does a not so wonderful job of showing you that their front door is not so beautiful after entry. This apartment complex is visually beautiful, built in a nice area overlooking the city lights, but don t be fooled. Pay your security deposit, and pay your first month s rent, but after you do so please be warned that the staff (landlord/property management) somehow stops paying attention to you, your personal needs and personal belongings. Don t be fooled. You thought San Quentin held theives; wait till you meet the invincible thief the Highland apartment complex has created which they claim no fault for. It s funny that they post signs claiming no fault for personal items being stolen, yet they provide the renter s with a secured entry building and a secured gated parking garage . Don t be fooled. Since the start of my rent many items from the secured gated parking garage have started to go missing. Things such as grocery dollies, bicycles and motorcycles. The manager here has no regard for renter issues outside of collecting their rent checks. Also note that while management was remodeling the apartment complex that they allowed the construction workers to live on site. This includes, but is not limited to, allowing fifteen or more workers to live within two apartments units at one time (this is illegal by code), and there was no property management notice of the workers having open access into and out of the building. In fact, during this time the secured entry front doors to the buildings were being held open with a pieces of wood, while the secured entry back door to the building was being held open with a bungee cord. Just remember that if you decide to rent in the Highland apartment complex that you not forget to lock your apartment doors, and please do not make the mistake of paying the listed rent amount as this amount is not worth what you may be robbed of, both cash and trust.
