My wife and I have lived here for close to two years. Given the title of this review, you may ask yourself "what in God's name would possess you to stay here that long?", quick and simple answer: cheap rent.
The management here does what it can to combat the horrendous parking situation, filthy laundry rooms, and garages turned into storage rooms akin to something out of "Storage Wars" by putting up notices and sending out letters. There's only one problem: the letters and notices are written in English. Heck, who am I kidding? Judging by the poorly written spanish notices placed on every laundry room cork board announcing a "kitchen" or "living room" for rent (obvious sub-letting), nary a person would give two hoots about the latest "declaration" or "policy change" from Central command. As far as personal safety goes, I have nothing to complain about (Thank goodness) in that department, however I attribute this blessing to the fact that we are renting near the leasing office as opposed to deeper in the heart of the teeming Favela that I've noticed just a few buildings away.
Two suggestions: Either start charging everyone for a parking permit or double the Border Patrol efforts.
