Resident 2011 - 2019

1/7/2020

The owners / investors of this complex lack enough knowledge to operate a pretzel kiosk in a shopping mall. They took a vibrant, thriving senior-citizen community and destroyed it in less than 3 years. One that was filled to capacity with a months-long waiting list. As of this writing there are multiple units still unoccupied. Greed and stupidity are a bad mix. Raising the tenants' rent to unprecedented amounts only backfired and resulted in LESS money coming in as MORE tenants vacated the premises. Economics apparently isn't their forte' as they never grasped the concept that prices can only go as high as the market will bear. Tenants don't HAVE to live here and if pushed too hard they'll push back - and ultimately make other living arrangements. The outdoor lighting has been completely dark in some areas for over a year. A dangerous situation given that elderly residents live on and walk the premises. This company would do well to NOT overextend themselves financially. The old adage of being "one natural disaster away from disaster" is certainly apropos. Northridge residents gleaned this the hard way as the 1994 quake dropped property values in half overnight. Many were hard pressed to sell or rent out their residences. Finally, their lack of customer service, compassion or concern is appalling - both in the front office and at their headquarters. Their BOTTOM LINE is their ONLY priority.
