Moved here sight unseen with the exception of the photos online, other reviews on other websites and speaking to a staff member. When I spoke to this person (who is no longer on their staff) about this apartment, I told her we desired a downstairs apt, but this is upstairs. Due to misinformation on their website, the apartment we chose was NOT ready for move in and still needs work and the former staff did not tell me it was upstairs. They have increased their maintenance staff to 4 people (doubling their crew), for over 300 apartments!? VERY under staffed! Poor guys work their fannies off. The cupboards and drawers in the kitchen were greasy feeling, crumbs and general filth. The bathtub enclosure when installed was short-cutted so black mold was hiding under the lip between the upper & lower portions where caulking was never used. *** NEW UPDATE! *** Well, the tree limbs encroaching our balcony area are no longer an issue as the entire tree has been removed! THANK YOU! When there is a maintenance issue, they respond much quicker than before and as a tenant, it's GREATLY appreciated. It appears they are trying to upgrade the grounds more and more. Also more accomodating to us tenants. Carpeting throughout appears to not have been steam cleaned, very worn at the entry area and stained. The balcony has tree limbs hanging over it so low that using the storage closet is difficult. The 5th time using the dishwasher (after cleaning it myself), water came pouring out all over the kitchen floor. I reported this to the office staff and they advised me they would send maintenance right away... it's been 3 days. Additionally, we requested a garage. All but one had broken springs and the one we did want was not only dirty, but water damage caused dry wall (they didn't even use green board on an outside wall?) to fall off exposing what appears to be black mold on exterior wood as well as ceiling damage. The garage door framing is rotting BADLY on the outside as well from this water damage. We were told the garage was cleaned and ready to use. When we went down to look at it, the floor was indeed VERY clean, however the water damaged wall was the same and we will not park a vehicle in there until they have remedied the mold issue & ceiling. Rent has already been paid for use of this garage unit and we haven't been able to use it to date. It appears they are trying to get on top of things, but until then I would not recommend this place. When I dealt with the office staff, they were pleasant except the manager. I spoke to her about the garage and the tree limbs due to the visible damage it is doing to the roofing material (not a concern of mine but may be to them), and she snapped at me telling me they are very busy and they'll have the gardeners take care of the tree limbs when they return next week, and that they'll get to the garage when they can. I empathized with her telling her I understand they are busy but my concern was to the structure more than anything else. This calmed her down, but since she had never met me before and I did not go in there screaming and yelling, there was no call for such a defensive reaction. As my brother-in-law puts it, the condition of this place and the way things are handled, it's "------". In my opinion, I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but it is a far cry from "Luxury"! 11/12/2012 update: All I can say is KUDOS to the person/people that implemented the new parking rules. I may not like putting stickers on my car, including the windshield, however this is proving to be highly effective in the ability to find a parking spot within the gates. THANK YOU!! It is greatly appreciated. Additionally, the maintenance crew has grown & they are highly visible and knowledgeable in their field. Keep up the good work! The manager has been more congenial towards me than our first encounter, but the tree limbs are getting longer & more damage is being done to the roof and structure. I keep breaking limbs off that are encroaching the balcony area, and I have not seen a single person trimming these trees. Several requests have been made, face to face, and each time I get a different response. The last response was the same as the first, so I guess they have a cycle of responses to requests & I made it all the way through the many requests to get back to the first response. LOL
