The manager is ALWAYS MIA!! The brief statement of my complaints is the following statement separated by --. The details is written in the 2nd part after that. -- To be fair, we were very satisfied when we moved in last year because of the previous manager, Mr. Peter San Nicolas's effort and assistance. He's always there and ready to help, but things change after he left. 1. The public gate remains unlocked and not repaired for 9 months in a year. 2. The water heater stopped working twice in a year. One time lasts for 3 days, and the other time doesn't have notification. Dwell didn't give residents any compensation for that. 3. The amenities were closed several times without notification. The reason the manager replied to me is "cleaning", and this lasts for 1 week. 4. WE CAN'T FIND THE MANAGER!! We pays rent regularly in time, and we are polite even when we have many confusions and depression due to Dwell team's inappropriate management. Now you tell me we need to pay for your absence. I don't think that's reasonable at all. -- I was told that we need to pay the rent for 09/01/2018~09/07/2018 because we didn't give them a written notice before 30 days. Both my roommate and I were trying so hard to reach out the leasing office in July, but the manager wasn't there every time we tried. The office hour is 9 am - 5 pm, so I usually wait there at 9:00 - 9:30 because I work on campus from 9 to 6, but no one is in the office. This situation keeps occurring several times. The most recent one is on 08/06 morning after I came back from a business travel. I even waited until 10:15 am, but no one showed up and the office door remained locked. I did try to notify the office or the manager before 30 days, but I CAN'T DUE TO THE MANAGER'S CONTINUOUS ABSENCE. My roommate failed too because no one was there once again. The other time, he was told by a representative that the manager took a few days off, which we didn't receive any emails regarding this as notification. The problem is the person who acted as a representative doesn't know which form we should fill out, so he/she told him to wait until the manger comes back. WE FAIL TO FILL THE FORM EARLIER AGAIN DUE TO THE OFFICE' UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT. Since I can't find the manager in the office, I replied to her email immediately on 08/02 to notify her our moving out when I was in a business travel on 07/28~08/03. It will be very unfair if we need to pay the rent for 9/1~9/7 due to her absence without any notification. She never sends emails to notify the residents when she is not around, not even a note on the office door!! We can't even find someone to help us when we need it in a regular office hour!!
