Olive Grove Retirement Resort
Prospective Resident · 2012
First of all, this is far from a resort! This place is a death trap to say the least, one elevator in each building at the far end of each building for residents 85% of which use an electric scooter to get around. I visited several times, know many residents. The buildings are in very poor condition - old, pieced together and the head maintenance man looks and dresses like a bum. The buildings are very old, they smell.....they should be ashamed to charge what they do, its really assisted living without the assistance or a nursing home with no nursing, incapacitated residents barely can make it to meals in a building across the parking lot if they cannot afford a scooter and require assistance....they are under staffed with escorts to assist residents. Most residents need to be placed in a different environment for their own safety and health, this place would never recommend such as it would impact their income. There is no "real" plan in place to evacuate residents in the event of an emergency, tons of stray cats on the property leaving foul smells on a constant basis. Three banks have foreclosed on this property, they are currently in forclosure, with the economy who would invest in this place. Over priced, staff that has been in place far too long and are not current with updated procedures on customer service, human interaction, quality control, environmental services and safety procedures. There support staff are poorly paid and lack the skill set to run this location effectively. Think twice before getting involved with tis poorly operated- back woods, old dirty property.
