Resident 2011 - 2012

5/11/2012

I've lived at the Quail Pointe apartments for close to 9 months now and so far I've enjoyed my time here. The only reason I'm looking for a new complex is because I would like having my own washer/dryer in the unit. The grounds are relatively quiet and the wall insulation does a pretty good job at blocking noise from neighbors. Staff is very friendly, and have been very accommodating and always responds in a timely manor. Maintenance resolution has been amazing to say the least, the only two issues I had were both immediately addressed. The bigger of the two was when my AC unit went out and management had it serviced and fixed within 4 hours of reporting it, which is impressive to say the least by most standards. Pests have never been an issue for me, but they offer weekly sprayings for those desire them which is great. The area isn't too bad. The complex doesn't sit too far away from some of Rancho's problem zones, but the gate does a really good job of keeping thugs and the like out. Parking is great, at least on my end of the complex. Tons of uncovered slots and never once has someone taken my parking spot. Appliances are somewhat out dated, but completely functional. It's expected for the rent range being charged ($750 for a 2bd 1 ba, I believe its gone up slightly). Floor plans are also pretty roomy for rent range. The only utility bill you have to worry about is electric, and its CHEAP. Mid summer I had my AC on ALL day and night set at 72 and the bill maxed out at $45 (downstairs unit). My only real complaint would be with the laundry facilities on site. They started closing them at 10pm because kids were breaking into them and stealing the quarters at night. This causes a lot of bottle neck hours and sometimes there simply isn't any machines available for use. The pricing has creeped up a little high too, last I checked it was $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry each load. Overall I would highly recommend this complex for those who don't need an in unit washer and dryer, and are looking for cheaper rent but don't want to live in a dump. Like I said above, I would love to stay here but I've decided I want an in unit washer and dryer. It's been incredibly difficult though to find a new complex that maintains similar sq ft with a washer/dyer in the unit, and stays under $950 a month. I'm starting to think a W/D isn't worth the extra cost.
