It's green not purple they lying!!

This place is terribly managed. I pay my rent on time so I can keep my Section 8! Since the pandemic it is very difficult for disabled person to find an affordable apartment. Michael Hernandez ( the manager ) is not a good manager. There's so many negative things to say I don't know where to start so I'll finish and just say...DON'T BUY!!!!! The building is really green not purple. Think about it didn't mom say "honesty is the best policy"? If a relationship ( financial ) starts off with a lie ( on the wrong foot ) then what is next? There is another shoe to drop ninjja so peep game!

Marie Wimbish took time to assist me with my interest. I ve never experienced so much joy in talking with her. She provided quality customer service and answered all of my questions and concerns. I really had a great experience visiting this community. Ms Wimbisheven took the time to walk me around as well as making sure my keys worked. This property and customer service is by far the best I've experienced in San Diego.

The manager Marine Wimbish were awesome and easy to talk to! I've never felt so welcomed and taken care of before during an apartment tour. The managements are great and are quick to resolve any issues that arise.

Live here if you don't care about sleep and love listening to people party 24/7. What's great too is if you like gunshots and domestic violence this is the place for you. Every couple months there's gunshots and don't expect security to do anything. When they aren't getting annoyed at you for calling repeatedly every day multiple times a night they're getting invited in to part or getting pepper sprayed... seriously if you want to NEVER sleep again this is the place for you. If you could give a negative 5 star rating that would be accurate. Ohh and don't forget about the Airbnb's! The office says no Airbnb's but hey screw the office because there's at least 10 or so every single weekend and NO CONSEQUENCES!! Wooohoooo come here to party!

Be advised, This is Airbnb hotel used for a transitional hosing. The entire area outside the complex is occupied by drug addicts and homeless. Over the weekend the place turns into a spot for underaged drinking and fights. Theft is an everyday occurrence. Enjoy your stay!

I recently (Jan 2019) moved to the fourth floor at 900 F St. My apt. was truly move-in ready and the location is great. Staff was quite helpful and communicative during the move-in process. Security doesn't seem to be an issue which is important living downtown. Overall satisfactory experience, and i'm referring some colleagues in the rental market.

I have been living here in two separate occasions for the last 10 years and the first time it was ok, but these last two years have been amazing here. Management is always on top of things and we know that they have filtered out the airbnb people that were creating noises some times. Management team you have done a great job R

I have lived at this building for a few years, I really like the neighbors and staff. The building could use a gym, but I like that I pay less rent, I joined 24hr fitness instead. Overall, a good place close to Gaslamp and all the spots.

I've lived at 900 F street for over 2 years and I can honestly say that living here has been very satisfying. I love how the property managers Diana and Char are about to provide an effective solution to any of the problems I have. One thing I will say is that the residents need to do a better job of cleaning up after their dogs because leaving dog poop on the floor is very unsanitary and disrespectful to other tenants. Another thing I would add is the mailbox situation, it needs to be fixed. Aside from that, i love living here and the property managers and maintenance are doing a great job.

                      Love living here!

I have lived here for one year and recently signed another lease. I totally enjoy living here. Maintenance is awesome and the small problems I have had, they were here fast, no waiting around. The office ladies are awesome and are always helpful in any questions or anything else I need. My studio is very stylish and is a good size. The gates have security codes so I feel safe living here. The courtyard is ideal for bbq's and get togethers. Since it is located in East Village it is still close enough to the gaslamp but far enough so it away from the loud partying. But it is downtown on a busy street so traffic is loud at times but Im to the point I dont even notice the noise anymore. The complex has washer/dryers but they are old and outdated. I hate them actually. Parking sucks too. The parking spots are tiny and there is no area for visitors to park so they have to be careful for street sweeping or have to always put money in the meter. But like I said before, this is DOWNTOWN near the GASLAMP. Theres not good parking anywhere. I feel lucky… See More>

I shopped around for a while, looking at everything from ------ complexes and hostels to high end high raises. I was relocating from OC to SD for a job. Found 900 F. Street Ad on craigslist. I called and they waited 30 mins after closing for me cause I was coming from Orange County. Long story short, management did everything I asked including painting the place and new carpet. The place had a low deposit. Affordable Rent. Good square footage and it was built in the 2000s. Its DOWNTOWN San Diego and the complex is exactly what I needed. Check it out for your self, I think they did a great job and its a great location for a great price.

The good and the bad: the truth!

PROS: I lived here for 5 years. Cable price is included with your rent. Rent can be paid weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Near downtown: walking distance to banks, supermakets, tolley/bus, gaslamp, seaport village, Horton Plaza, post office, etc. Computers in lobby, free use. Onsite laundry room, vending machines, housekeeping. Security cameras, if they work. Rooms have ceiling fan, refrigerator, bed, garbage disposal, sink, microwave, shower, toilet, cable tv. CONS: Several registered (and unregistered) sex offenders live here. Many undercover -----. Bad reputation: police, cornoner and fire dept are here once a week, all hours. One tenant stabbed another in broad daylight, in lobby, in front of tenants and hotel staff WITH security cameras rolling. There are a couple of weired people with dogs in their room (owner is nasty and dog is filthy). Room "inspections" by staff; just being nosey. Room maintenance are ignored anyway. Hallway has odor since most tenants are ex-cons, mentally ill (officially), chemically dependent/recovering, or just plain stupid. It gets very hot, even in the winter months. Bring a window fan. Even with the ceiling fan, you will still need another one. Parking is atrocious to impossible. Your car will be towed or vandalized on the street. (Petco Park fans are NOT nice). Parking garage in hotel is expensive. BUG INFESTATION! I had… See More>

After living here for three years and watching the place decline, I can't recommend this complex. I'm not saying that this apartment has been a total nightmare, but I think it's important that people know about the good and the bad before they decide to make 900 F their home. Before I go into lots and lots of detail, I'd like to list my main problems with the apartment: Lack of air conditioning leaves the apartment in 90-100 degree temp 10 months out of the year. Management will come into your apartment every other month for a week straight. You will constantly have your apartment inspected. Fire alarms are a serious problem; they go off at 3 am and force evacuations about 5 times every year. The apartment is not in the safest area of downtown. If you have the time to read more, I've tried to give you as many details as possible. I know I use this site to find apartments, so I hope this is helpful! Parking: You have to pay a fee per parking space in the garage. You have to park in the garage because the spaces around the apartment are usually unavailable (and often closed because of street cleaning). Visitors will… See More>

Good place for a party, bad place to live.

I've lived in this place for years, it is inexpensive for Downtown, but still overpriced. The construction is very shoddy, the owners actually sued the contractors for the poor workmanship. The apartments get unbearably hot in the summer, and cold in the winter, no A.C. and the heaters are along the baseboards stuck behind furniture. Management changes every few months and has been completely incompetant, they will lie to your face or just ignore your request. The partying and noise is out of control, I can't really complain about this because I've had parties until 6am and I was never asked to stop. Security is a big issue, the parking garage isn't secure at all and the gates to the complex are too easy to climb over. And the security cameras don't work. Countless cars, apartments, and storage units have been broken in to. The homeless use the garage and hallways to sleep in, and etc. To top it all off, many child molesters live across the street at the "Peachtree Inn", it was 12 at last count, you can check it out at the "Megan's Law" website.

                                  awful and overpriced

Like it's been said, the noise problem was INSANE! The court yard was party central after the bars closed, drunks till literally 5-6 am partying, nothing was ever down about loud neighbor who played music and sang all hours of the day and night, not to mention the day the toilet exploded out of nowhere, with feces, and water soaked into the carpet because nothing was done until we called hazmat and complained. After we finally got out of that hell hole, I'm getting charged for cleanup and apparently not giving the proper notice, in fact our lease was up and we got the hell out of dodge. But apparently the management still wants a written 30 notice letting them know you're leaving. A bit ridiculous that you can't move out of your apt. when your lease is up esp after all the problems we had, and being told not to worry and the notice by the manager. Don't move here unless you want to screw up your credit. Now I can't get rid of the nearly $1000 smudge on my report due to this place.
Things stared breaking the first week we moved in,… See More>

For the amount that you will pay to live at 900 F Street, you might as well look around, because there are a lot better places to live. First off, everything in the apartments is cheaply made. I'm not a carpenter or anything, but the cupboards, towel racks, and everything else is just made of crap. Secondly, the prices are pretty high for what you actually get.

Like someone else previously posted, the apartments are so hot inside, plus theres no AC. Also, even though you have an assigned parking place (which costs $100 extra a month), people were parking in my spot all the time, especially the Enterprise rental car people, which share the same garage.

Lastly, the noise level coming out of the central community quad was unbearable at times. People would be out there drinking, playing with their dogs, and making noise all night long. I can honestly say that the management never did anything to stop this either.

Overall, I would not recommend 900 F Street. Trust me, if you look around you can find better places.

                                        Where to start?
Rent is extremely high, especially for what you get. Very cheaply made: thin fragile drywall, cheap cabinetry that often broke, cheap appliances, built with supplies that forced warning signs on entrances for reproductive harm, "hardwood floors" that were really plastic. Staff consistently took their time or just straight up did not fix problems that weren't cosmetic: Underground garage had ventilation problems (the heat from the garage heated our apartment to about 92f daily and with no air conditioning to cool the place down it was very uncomfortable), the garage door rarely worked ( it was always stuck open and in that part of downtown they have a transient problem which proceeded to penetrate into the garage, including elevator lobbys being used as toilets), the gates around the community were always broken and did nothing to keep anybody out (which turned out to be a good thing b/c there were two of us and we only got one gate key), the washer and dryers didn't work even after they "fixed" them, they would have immense trash build up in the trash shoots causing a real cockroach problem which they denied and conviently forgot to spray for… See More>
