I have lived here for few years and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Find some other place to live if you can. Pros: 1. Close to UTC/Westfield mall and Costa Verde Centre 2. close to UCSD campus 3. Washer and dryer in apartment 4. decent gym during off-peak hours otherwise it is too crowded 5. Good maintenance and reliable crew 6. You will get a solid screw when you leave, take lube with you as they will not provide. 7. Chances are you may get a chance to upgrade your car - as you may have to repair your car or get a new one if you experience a break-in or after theft. CONS: 1. Management folks at the office are cons - expect to get screwed when leaving the apartment and it's not free! They will charge you with your security deposit. 2. you get one parking spot for one bedroom apartment i.e., you get two parking spot for two bedroom apartment. 3. security is non-existent. They have contracted to Summit Security and you will never see them. Although you have to pay one time $25 to get a car decal. Do not park at a wrong spot, it is assured you will get car towed courtesy of Summit Security via Eastgate towing. 4. You park your car in the designated spot in the basement. break-in's to the car are very common. Many cars and bikes have been stolen during my time here. 5. Druggies smoking illegally in the parking space and in stairs. 6. kids are skateboarding around your apartment and the complex. Management does not do anything to remedy this problem. 7. Solicitation is common. Expect to get your door knocked at 8pm by a random dude selling magazines. 8. Pets are not allowed but do not be surprised if you see dog poop on your door as many residents do have pets 9. Office workers need training. They are rude which is also summarized by other reviewers in this site. If you end up here avoid Keisha and Desiree. They have attitudes and lack common sense. 10. Keep everything in writing and maintain a paper-trail else they will nickel and dime for everything when you leave and they will often quote you lines from the lease. 11. Mold is a common problem in these apartments. Keep an eye on the mold in your apartment and report promptly to the management in writing. Keep a copy and by law they are supposed to fix it in a reasonable time else legally it is deemed inhabitable. 12. Smelly corridors due to trash chute. 13. There are signs of security cameras in the parking space but I have never noticed any cameras so far. 14. expect noisy neighbors. 15. They will charge you for water, sewage and trash. The water is divided between all the residents living in that complex. Even though you are careful with water you are going to pay for someone else's water wastage, Our average water bill for 2 residents was $55 per month. 16. You have a option to get cable from only Time warner cable in the south village. 17. to remind you again, the management is unprofessional, rude, unfriendly!
