Apartment: I lived in a two bedroom, two and a half bathroom townhouse and loved it. Very spacious for a young couple.<br><br>Gym: Useable but small.<br><br>Parking: I had 2 spaces that were tandem. If you are comfortable with tandem then it shouldn't be a problem.<br><br>Cable company: When I lived there the building had its own cable provider. Setting up the service was very time comsuming. I would have preferred the building use Cox cable (the provider for most of San Diego)<br><br>BBQ: There are two gas BBQs per building. They worked fairly well. Residents are only allowed electric BBQs on there pations.<br><br>Pool: It's good for splashing around. Not for laps.<br><br>Security: This building is gated. Of course people can follow others into the complex. I felt secure. There was however an instance of someone knocking on my door with a hardluck story looking for some money for a taxicab. I should have known not to open the door, but I gave the guy a couple of bucks anyway.<br><br>Deposit: $500 which I thought was a good deal. However after I moved out I only received ~$330 due to cleaning and repainting fees, even though the place was clean and didn't need repainting. Check the fine print. This may also be a result of some CA laws.<br><br>Service: I loved my apartment and I would recommend the Heritage if you don't have to deal with the leasing office. I have lived in many apartments and by far this apartment had the worst leasing office service. I dreaded anytime I had to deal with them. I should have realized this when I first went to view the apartment. It was about 20 minutes before the office closed and I was in town to find a place to live. The lady in the office didn't even want to take the time to let me see one of the model apartments. Others dealings with the office that were more trouble than they worth included: signing my lease, obtaining cable service, picking up packages, moving out. <br><br>Price: For the square footage, the price was competitive. It's cheaper than buying the same size condo. However with prices downtown falling buying a condo may become cheaper than renting again . . . let's hope ;-)<br><br>Summary: Location and physical apartment good. Amenities fair. Service bad.
