I recently moved to San Francisco and living in Carmel Rincon has been a pleasant experience! LOCATION: The best part of living in Carmel Rincon by far is the convenient location! I love the fact that everything is in walking distance including offices, coffee shops, grocery stores, attractions, etc... It's also super close to public transportation (embarcadero bart & bus stops). The apartment is definitely located in one of the safer areas of San Francisco! I feel pretty safe walking home at night, since most of the buildings nearby are offices. BUILDING & UNIT: The building itself is modern, clean, and sleek. I live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with two other people and it is clean and pretty spacious compared to other apartments in San Francisco. The views from the apartment is amazing, since it's located near the bay bridge. I've also never had any problems with noise here, since this apartment has thick walls and neighbors are generally super quiet. AMENITIES: The roof on the 23rd floor provides a stunning view of the bay bridge and it's a great area to relax or hang out with friends. The 7th floor has an outside lounge area with couches and an indoor lounge area with a conference room, computers, and printers. There's free coffee in the lobby and the 7th floor lounge for your caffeine needs. The downside of living here is that there is no gym inside the building, no in unit laundry, and no pool/jacuzzi. However, they do provide free annual YMCA membership, which is right across the street as well as a laundry facility in the basement. STAFF & MAINTENANCE: The staff is always friendly, paying rent is convenient since you do it online, you receive an email notification every time for package pickups, there is 24/7 security at the front desk, and maintenance requests can be completed online.
