Resident 2005 - 2007

12/17/2007

This place is horrible!

Lived here for nearly 2 years. While some of the tenants are great people, most are not. Some lady screaming at her kids inside or outside the complexes, cars rolling up and laying on the horn to pick someone up instead of walking up to the door like a normal respectful person, routine car break ins, routine blasting of music whether at 9am on Sunday morning or late hours of the night, tenants dropping garbage or spilling some sticky disgusting liquid all over the stairwell and walkways, inconvenient double parking from tenants so making it nearly impossible to get into your carport space, and even laundry machines that eat your money or break mid wash are all common occurrences while living at the Glen apartments. Not to mention bad water heaters that scald you when your taking a shower, doors that have been repainted so many times they can barely shut or open, leaking faucets, horrible kitchen ventilation, ancient windows, and creaking floors that enable you the wonderful experience of enjoying the sounds of your upstairs neighbor at all moments of the day. While living here you will notice that there is no parking because many of the tenants have multiple cars and park them on the street taking up all the parking that would be available otherwise. This place is overpriced and will no matter what you do they will find a way to squeeze you out of your deposit check. I spent a day with 2 of my family members cleaning up this apartment and looking over it for anything they might ding me on. While, it wasn't even dirty to begin with as I lived there alone and for under 2 years, I still made a point to clean it up better then I received it. Because I wanted my hard earned deposit money back. And they billed me for "heavy touch up painting" they called it? I didn't scratch anything or ruin any paint? It seems the only thing these owners do is heavy touch up of paint as you will notice when you see their apartments, everything is covered in multiple layers of paint. They also charged me for carpet cleaning and I never wore a shoe in the apartment, which is just one of my rules. Those carpets were spotless, I would hope they would clean those carpets normally between tenants and not at my expense, as I left them as new. This place is a joke. I moved out to another apartment not to far away as I began to realize you can get a remodeled apartment, with washer dryer, and a much better environment and tenants, for less. I guess I'll call this a learning experience.
