Sunny Court Apartments

The staff is nice, and the maintenance problems I´ve had were fixed the next day. The landscaping is pleasant, but there´s still a lot of concrete. You only get one parking space for a studio or one-bedroom, and street parking right nearby can be a challenge. The neighborhood isn´t the swankiest, and I wouldn´t walk around at night alone, but during the day it´s fine. There´s a security person patrolling the complex at night. The studios are very small (400 sq ft) so you have to get creative in arranging furniture and your stuff. I´d think that if you tried to have more than one person living in a studio, you´d drive each other insane. Air circulation through the studio apartments isn´t the best, since there´s only one window. In the middle of the summer, it can get pretty hot (no a/c), so get a fan (or three). The kitchen and bathroom in the studios are actually fairly roomy. I haven´t had many problems w/ sound traveling through walls. Overall, thanks to the crazy rental prices around here, Sunny Court is a decent value pricewise. The location is half a block from 280, a couple of blocks from 101, and only 2 miles from downtown and SJSU. There´s plenty of stores in the surrounding areas.
