Capistrano Pointe Apartments
Resident · 2011
My husband and I moved to San Juan Capistrano because he is stationed at Camp Pendleton. When looking for an apartment we wanted to make sure it was somewhat near base but would accomodate our dog. After narrowing our choices we decided Capistrano Pointe. He moved out a couple months before me then I moved later with our dog (which had been approved by the manager prior to move in). When we went to register our dog and pay our pet deposit we were told he could not live with us... after he had been approved by the manager at Capistrano Point... Not to mention he had been appoved at many other apartments we were considering. We have been told we needed to pay in full for next months rent as well as a 1550 termination fee. Totaling around 3,000 extra after being told the dog was not allowed. The majority of the staff were unhelpful as this was going on. The only person that can talk about lease termination is the manager that is there occasionally. Carmell was great, but overall we would not recommend this apartment complex. The grounds are nice, but make sure you have everything in writing because not all parts of the "contract" are given to you.
