I recently moved here because I wanted more room. It was a stretch financially, and I now regret it. I am stuck for 10.5 more months. The place has some nice amenities- washer/dryer in the two-bedroom units, ample square footage and storage. It's also in a quiet, park-like location if you prefer that. I have discovered for myself that I would rather have more immediate access to shopping and restaurants, but that's a personal preference. I moved into a ground-floor unit. Big mistake. The place has no insulation or sound buffering. I have a family above me with little stompers. They pounded across my kitchen so hard one day I came home to the glare guard of one of the ceiling lamps broken on my floor. At first I couldn't figure out how that happened until the little stompers bounded across my kitchen ceiling one evening and I watched the light fixtures rattle. When I first moved in I had told the management about some minor maintenance issues I wanted addressed, and they never addressed them. Obviously, I will have to go back to them and to complain about the noise, but so far they have not been responsive to my initial requests which doesn't bode well. I have already decided I won't be renewing my lease. I'm not even going to finish unpacking and settling in. Instead of feeling at home I am existing through a lease. I'd say if you move in, only rent on the uppermost floor, be prepared to pay high rent and your own utilities and bring your own maintenance person.
