I have been living here over year now and wont renew the lease. The apartment is good. Location is great. Seeing gated community makes you feel safe. But there is flip side to it. In my 6 years of my stay in US. It was the first time my car was vandalize . It happened in an afternoon on a week day. Surprising to me it happens to 5 of the car parked in different garages in the apartment on the same day . This is how worst the apartment is in terms of security. Management knows about it . That is the reason they make u sign in the lease that they are not responsible for any property damages . They come up and say sorry that all they can do . BS Management. I think the apartment should be liable if vandalizing happens in closed garage or happens more often. That to in such a scale. This has happened many times in a year. I don't feel my car or bicycle is safe at the garage or even at so called parking lot. Adding to the fuel a bad design of the apartment , the walls around the apartment are so small even a kid can climb over it. They should mentioned when signing lease to the renters that our apartment is prone to more vandalizing . To my understanding it is cheating and should be taken to the court. If they improve the security by deploying camera's it will actually reduce the crime rate or some better security . They should think ... If they want there property to be insured and so we do have a right to make sure our property is safe too.
