Im going on my third year at Waterstone and find it overall to be a good value. If youre considering renting at Waterstone, heres some objective information you can actually use.
Convenient location: close to major roadways and public transportation. Grocery store, hardware and convenience stores all within easy walking distance. Modest neighborhood, decent and safe. Culturally diverse population.
Older property; buildings are showing signs of wear & tear due to age. Mature landscaping; lots of redwood trees (nice). Gated pool area is very nice. The laundry needs upgrading; lots of machines but theyre older, and rough on clothes. Cost of laundry: $1 wash/$1 dry is very reasonable and laundry is open 24/7. Cat-friendly property.
Apartments are small but comfortable; nice floor plan and good use of space. Large patio (ground floor) or deck (2nd floor). End units have lots of windows for good natural light and cross-ventilation. Heat is efficient. Water pressure is good and lots of hot water. Tap water contains high mineral content and leaves cloudy white deposits on glass; need to use a water filter on kitchen faucet and clean the dishwasher periodically with white vinegar to eliminate lime buildup.
Kitchen is small but open design and all white cabinets and countertops give it a bigger feel. All new Whirlpool appliances are nice! Good lighting in kitchen.
Only one, small bathroom. Fiberglass tub/shower is nice and easy to maintain. Bathroom lighting is good, ventilation is poor fan is inefficient.
Carpeting is typical nondescript beige; steam-cleaned before move-in but showing signs of age. Bedroom closets are good sized; linen closet is small; front hall closet is large. Most covered (assigned) parking spaces have additional storage unit.
Im pretty low-maintenance, but have had no problems with the management. The rent is affordable and Ive not had a rent increase in two years. For my money, you cant find anything better in the area for less.
