Like the title says, I still rue the day I signed the 1 year lease at this HORRIBLE apartment complex. I've been living here for a few months now and there's still a long way to go before I can move out. Let me start with the complains... 1) The building is old and the floors creak. 2) The walls and celings are paper thin. You can hear people walking outside in the corridor, people yelling and screaming in the apartments next to you and worst of all, loud TV and music noises from the apartment above yours. I am told that even on the third floor, people can hear TV noises from the apartment BELOW theirs. 3) The manager (Denise) is one fo the worst managers I've ever come across. Her standard answer for any maintenence request is "This you need to fix yourself" 4) The manager's office has been undergoing 'renovations' for the longest time possible now. I've seen it under contruction ever since I came to live here and I am told that it has been going on even before then. The management doesnt seem the least bit concerned to get it done. Denise has taken over the rec-room/clubhouse of the apartment as 'temporary' office and I dont think she has any intentions of vacating it. 5) The elevator is a joke. It is super slow, really dirty and the buttons sometimes dont seem to work. 6) The place always smells of various types of food being cooked (primarily Indian and Oriental) because all the kitchens face inwards into the corridors. Coming home in the evening is an assault on one's sense of smell. 7) The tenants are mostly ------- and African Americans and they are loud, rowdy and obnoxious. So now for the good points... 1) It is relatively safe. I especially like the secure garage and the buzzer system. 2) The living rooms are pretty large. But that translates to smaller bedrooms. Overall I WILL NOT recommend living here to anyone...
