I have lived at Parc Chateaux for 4 years and feel it's time for me to move. When I first moved here it was mostly single people or married couples with no kids or older kids who were living elsewhere. In the last two years their has been a noticeable increase of people moving in who are raising families. I would say about 50% of the overall population is now infants, young kids, or teenagers. I personally wouldn't raise my child in an apartment complex. Children just need more space. Play time here ranges from 7am-8pm and may include "seeing who can scream the loudest" to "skateboard-razor-bike races in the parking lot". You also have to deal with garbage trucks and semi's loading and un-loading starting at 6am (mon-fri) across the street @ Ralphs and Petsmart. The garbage trucks here thankfully come between 9-11am. Most people that park their cars in guest or tenant parking spots have to honk their horns to lock and un-lock doors. Sometimes people will hit the remote button 3 or 4 times just to make 100% sure the car is locked. Not sure why this happens because cars don't get broken into in Stevenson Ranch. Parking can be a problem if you don't have a garage. Parc Chateaux is not a bad place once you get past the noise though. Both management groups have been very friendly and fair to me. I've never had 1 problem in 4 years with them. Maintenance has resolved every problem and it's usually the same day. The apartments are modern and well built so you seldom have issues with A/C, plumbing, etc. The apartments are also very spacious with garages available for most units. The amount of good places to eat within a 5 mile radius is unbelievable. Plenty of places to ride a bike or jog. Some apartments have very nice mountain views. The pool has been upgraded and depending on what time you go can be a very relaxing place. With so many gym's close by you probably wouldn't have much use for the gym, but it's a decent workout facility. Dogs for the most part are well mannered. The grounds are well manicured but the groundskeepers come 3 times a week compared to once a week when I first moved here. Overall I would say it's a good, safe place to live if you don't mind some noise. I have met some really cool people and some others who are miserable! If you do decide to move here try getting an apartment on the far south side of complex or west side near the trail, you will thank me later.
