This was a reasonably good value when I first moved in, but they kept jacking up the rent even while the housing market was slowing down, to the point where I now pay more than at some "luxury" apartments.

Maintenance is extremely poor. Stuff takes forever to get fixed. They fixed the upstairs plumbing, leaving a huge hole in my bathroom ceiling that they then "fixed" by nailing a piece of plywood over it. My water heater leaks. Heating is a futile exercise as the lack of any insulation causes the place to lose any heat instantly. Anyway the heater gives off a musty smell so I´m afraid to turn it on anyway for fear of choking my lungs with mold spores or worse.

Laundry room was the nastiest until they finally renovated it last month. I had a number of shirts ruined by rust stains until I stopped doing my laundry there. Pool is dirty, unheated and otherwise unusable.

Sound insulation is poor. I put up with my upstairs neighbor´s partying, lovemaking and other activities only so that they´ll grant me the same tolerance.

Guest parking is non-existent. The management act like a bunch of parking fascists, nevertheless I see all kinds of questionable cars parked in supposedly reserved spots.

Run, don´t walk... away!
