Here's the deal- if you want a washer and dryer in your apartment, a garage, a tennis court, a pool, and a playground, you won't find it for cheaper than these apartments. They don't have 'upgrades' or 'stainless' or anything like that, but this apartment has been a short term solution for us, so we figured, why waste money on something more expensive when this offers what we need? Now, we have an end unit on the second floor at the top of the hill, so our views are about as good as you're gonna get, we have vaulted ceilings in our living room, and fairly quiet neighbors. We also have an assigned parking space in addition to our garage, so parking is not a problem for us. Maybe our good experience is because we got the best floorplan with all the extras, but it was still cheap to do it that way, so why not? The manager is so sweet (hi Melissa!) and maintenance is lighting fast. Once my husband (an ex-cop) had to get rid of some loud people in the parking lot, but they didn't even live here, and yes there were kids who used to use the parking lot as their personal playground....but then we got revised apartment rules that said that wasn't permitted, and amazingly, it seems to have actually worked. Woo hoo! We are on a month to month right now and will move out when we figure out what we want to do, but only because living in an apartment was never a forever thing for us, not because it's so awful here or anything. Oh, and it's zoned for a highly rated elementary school (check greatschools.net for Vail Elementary) so that's a plus, too.
