Resident 2004 - 2008

Bad/Good

I lived at the Woodglen Apartments for over four years. Some of my friends continue to live on the property. I was close with some of the managers (they are you neighbors afterall)that worked on the property. Remember its not alwasys the managers fault tenants can become rude and agressive when they don't get their way most of which can be resovled with time. Honestly, sit back and let them do their job it may just help. The managers don't need you in their face yelling at them and attempting to tell them how to do their jobs. I have actully witnessed some of these conversations and that doesn't help the situation. In fact, it make the manager become defensive (which can continue making the conversation go sour) and makes the tenant look like a fool. They know how you feel. Do you honeslty think they want people unhappy and willing to move out? I always try to place myself in their shoes, they have someone to answer to. They can't just tell you yes or no so just sit back and relax. I've read all the reviews for Woodglen and a few other apartment complexes. To tell you the truth I think that everyone if full of CRAP!!!. Yes, you get yellowish water by-the-way talk to Valencia water about that, I had my whole unit re-piped (yes, due to leaks for the GALVINIZED pipes not the "70's copper pipes" p.s. the buiding was built in the mid 80's so where that reviewer got their 70's date is unknown) back on subject now; I still got yellow water because the city pipes have never been replaced. In regards to children they are asked to be safe god knows my boys always have and still do look for trouble. I was asked to make sure that bikes went inside or on the patio but it was also explained that that is for safety reasons not becasue children are "unwelcomed" . Now to touch on every other subject: Parking: I had my two spaces and most times there are visitor spaces, if all else fails go next door there is a huge parking lot. Noise: Any noise that I ever had to deal with was either stopped by ten or shortly after when the managers did their walk. Most residents didn't make any noise but for the few that did it was rare and if you asked they stopped. That's called being a good neighbor. Grounds: Well kept and I liked the landscaping. The landscape company usually came around 8 am just as I was leaving for work (so reviewer who says "crack of dawn" is full of crack) Safety: I never had a problem everything appeared to be well lite and safe. Construction: Woodglen is an older building but they seemed to be keeping up with the reapirs. Maintenance: The maintenance guys seem to be nice but I was never really home when they were in my apartment. When I placed in a work order the job was done. Staff: The staff was nice with the a few exceptions, which can happen anywhere you go not everyone gets along with everyone. Overall: I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. P.S. I received about 80% of my deposit back
