I don't tend to write favorable reviews about apartments, much less gush in public about them. But Oak Manor is quite unlike any other complex I have ever resided in. The tenants are friendly and quiet. The office staff are delightful and thorough. Its grounds are immaculately tended. The ownership and management obviously take great pride in the community they have established here. And a community is just what it feels like.
Before moving in, I noted with some skepticism, that although most rental properties in Vista got mixed reviews at best (and for good reason, having rented in a number of sub-par places myself), Oak Manor's were consistently 100% positive. I thought to myself, "How could this be?" After all, the complex is located in a somewhat lower income neighborhood, the buildings are older (though SOLID and well built it turns out),and for the price, well, it frankly all seemed much too good to be true.
But it IS true! And I believe the reasons for this are simple: decent, responsible, ethical ownership and management--and great tenants. The amenities are great: the laundry room is ample and secure, there are pool tables and a large community room, the pool and jacuzzi are spotless, and usually quiet & uncrowded. And there are even tennis courts! There is definitely a positive "vibe" about the place and we always feel happy to be coming home at the end of the day. You will too.
