I sadly enough spent 8 years living in these apartments, solely because I was saving for a house (which has been accomplished). The on site managment has been a joke from day one. The first manager (who no longer works there) had gone into my apartment without permission numerous times, lost rent checks, forgot to put in "fix-it" request, and actually physically tried to attack me (her husband held her back). The woman (drug addict)living across from me lit her apartment on fire 3 times (third time completly destroying it and causing massive smoke damage to my apartment). My husband was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation and there was not one apology from anyone. It took SPM 7 years to fire her. After her termination they hired another couple that didn't do much to clean the place up. Under their watch another massive fire happened--another apartment of drug addicts. We had a family of 4 living above us in a one bedroom apartment. My closet doors and windows would shake as their children ran through the apartment at all hours of the night. I complained for 4 months straight and not a thing was done. The washer and dryers never worked, the rec room or the pool were never opened, and spider webs consumed the walls. My car was broken into a total of 4 times with my husbands wheels being stolen right off his car. When SPM was informed and asked to put up extra lighting they simply stated that there was enough already. The only thing SPM is worried about it making money. They do this by drawing people with the low rent price, but then not doing a damn thing for you. The Diablo Villa apartments are probably the only place in Walnut Creek where it is literally unsafe to live. You may think that saving all that money is worth it, but it's not.
