DO NOT RENT a one bedroom apartment here if you have two cars. You will not have two assigned spaces. Contrary to the office staff, there is NOT sufficient visitor parking. The visitor parking that is there is always occupied by the same cars. There is not much overflow parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You can park at the BART, but that may soon change.

The apartments look nice, but the construction is shoddy. The rent and rent increases are excessive.

Small details of maintenance are overlooked. The rain gutters are not cleaned frequently enough. When it rains, the water floods many of the balconies rendering them completely useless. The washer/dryer hookups are in a closet on the balcony. It´s not very nice to have to wade out to do your laundry. The trash bins are often overflowing for days. Inside the apartments, the carpet is rarely replaced and the window blinds are often barely functional.

The some of the electricity, gas, and all of the water consumption costs are split among all residents. You will still have your own electric/gas consumption bill to pay. In the model apartments, all of the lights and A/C are kept on 24 hours a day--even during Stage II electrical alerts.

They have spent large sums of money refurbishing the office twice in the 1.5 years I lived there. Treat Commons is all about image, but it is a mirage.
