For the price I paid for to live in this place, you'd think management would take better care of everyone. Everyone is nice when I first visited, of course they are, they want your money :). The people here are, surprisingly, ------. I've filed numerous complaints to which Atrium responded they'd take care of-and never do. These complaints include my bathroom floor coming apart when I moved in because the shower leaks. My upstairs neighbors throwing their cigarette buds and burning holes in my patio furniture. Unsupervised children all over the place, screaming for hours at a time, teasing my dogs (if they react, who do you think they'll blame? Lol). I have adults and children throwing their trash into my patio. Again, unsupervised children, climbing into my patio to retrieve the toys they purposely throw in..and mess with my dogs. Sure this place is newly renovated, pet friendly, and equipped with a fridge (my model didn't come with a microwave. Cheap.) I was hooked in their special pricing unit and it was a huge scam.     If we had security cameras we wouldn't have these lowlife hanging out in the parking lot all night. If security came more than once maybe cars wouldn't get vandalized. Security is a major problem here. Overall staff(---) is awesome(Glad -------- is not here no more). Maintenance is great. Place is always clean. Layouts are beautiful. I give it a 5 stars if we had more security.

      I have been living at the Atrium for over 10 years. One of the things I like most about living here is the prompt and professional service. Anytime I need a maintenance request for my apartment, I talk to the Manager, Virginia, and she assists me with any of my needs. The Regional Manager, Tracy, is also very helpful. I recently asked Virginia about a maintenance request which needed approval. So she contacted Tracy, who came by my apartment, and the request was approved. Needless to say, I was very happy and appreciative of their service.

          I would never recommend anyone to rent this place. I moved in beginning of 2013 and moved out end of 2015. There were so many problem with this place. First was parking spot. I rented two bedroom apartment but only one parking spot. I got at least 6 parking tickets because it was unsafe to park a block away at night. Thank god after a year living there I was able to rent $40/months for another parking spot which I had to fight hard for it. However after they took away most of visitors parking and turned to rentals. It made it harder for other whom could not afford or did not have a chance to rent one.             I moved in to the complex this year and I love it! My apartment, management, and maintenance have all exceeded my expectations. Online service requests are responded to quickly, even on Saturdays. I like that there are children outside playing. Remember when we used to do that? There have also been tenant activities to help neighbors get to know one another. I'm sure there may have been issues in the past. However, things have obviously improved. Yes, parking anywhere other than your assigned carport is not great and the smell of illegal substances is frustrating, however that is not the complex's fault. I am more than happy with my experience thus far and recommend the complex to prospective renters.

              I would urge anyone thinking about renting here at the Atrium to turn around and run. We have been here for less than six months and we want to get out. The parking problem is crazy but we could deal with it. You get one covered parking apot and then you have to fight for the very few visitors spots that the very same people hog all the time by switching out their cars. When we were signing leases we were told by one person in the office that they were trying to work with the American Legion next door about leasing some of their parking for Atrium tennants. We were told by the other leasing agent that they were working with the city to have the red paint taken off of a lot of the curbs surrounding the apartment freeing up more parking spots. When we mentioned what was said about the American Legion to the other agent she acted as if she didn't know what my husband was talking about.                 I have lived here for almost two years and am very disappointed. When I first moved in, it was clean, the neighbors were nice, and it was quiet. Now, it is dirty and the neighbors are noisy and inconsiderate. The staff seems like they do not have the experience to manager a property. Ex. There was a broken wine bottle in the parking space for the managers. Instead of having it cleaned up, they moved it out of the way and parked. Broken glass just left in the parking lot. I went to the office and had to ask for it to be cleaned up. Katie seemed upset that I even asked. I shouldn't have had to. There is anti-freeze pooled in a parking space right next to the manager's space and even though I have gone to the office, it is not cleaned up. This is dangerous for pets and small children. I see that when there is a bad review, corporate chimes in and says call us.                   My family has lived here just over two years now. The apartments are big, which is nice... and it has pools... The maintenance guy, -------, is super cool... but those are the only positive things I have to say. -My husband's license plate was stolen off of his car, while his car was parked in our assigned parking space. He noticed a few of our neighbors had license plates stolen as well. -My tags were stolen off my car while it was parked in our assigned parking space. -We told management about both incidents of cars being broken into and were told there's nothing they can do. I suggested even putting up signs that the area is monitored, even if it's not. No signs. -Two of our neighbors have had their cars vandalized while parked in their parking space (windows broken, tires slashed, etc.). -We've gotten 3 nails in tires in the last 6 months...                     So, I found these Apts on Forrent.com & they looked decent so my family & I decided to check em out. We were looking for a bigger place, because we were expecting our 2nd baby & needed more space. First of all, we were greeted with smiles from a woman named Julia, she was really nice (they fired her shortly, though I don't know why). The apt we were supposed to rent, they let someone else rent & moved us to a different unit (okay, no biggie). Then our move in date was moved because something about the current tenants taking them to court for whatever reason. Okay, getting a little impatient, but again no biggie. But then we move in, worst mistake EVER. Our patio cant even fit anything on it really, our closet is bigger than the patio...literally. The roaches & deadly spiders are out of control (& I do mean deadly.) I've seen the brown recluse & red recluse, including white ones, all black ones, black ones with spots ... the list goes on.                       Well my family and I have been here for about 4 months....for us this is home...the staff is very friendly and has helped us with whatever we needed...if I did have one complaint it would be the parking situation but we overlook that...our neighbors are very friendly so we couldn't ask for a better place....we love it here....we plan on being here for awhile....I would definately recommend these apartments to friends and family

                        I hate this place!!!! Been here over a year and something is always going wrong... First off once ur lease is up of course they talk u into signing another one if u don't ur rent gets raised. 2nd off the parking is a joke!!!! U get once assigned space and that's all.. Good luck if u drive an suv!! 3rd off whenev something needs fixed they do a half as@ job.. Nothing gets done the correct way... 4ths off the roaches are ridiculous and all they do is tell u clean out everything and they'll spray.. Problem solved.. Nope not even close... No matter how many times u complain and they try to "fix" the situation is doesn't work. The trash can area is infested with roaches it's disgusting..                           My daughter and i have been living here for 3 weeks and we already feel like it is our home! The Manager Virgina is very professional as well as considerate to the tenants in our building i feel like we can go to her and not feel like we are bothering her or the other staff like Monica who is also very professional and kind. The apartments are larger than shown in the photos and much more attractive in person,plenty of closet space. I thought about looking for other apartments on the internet but my daughter just sat watching me annoyed and said "mom what are you doing? I already found our home!" And she was right. Everyone is friendly and it is a positive environment. I highly suggest to anyone who is looking for a safe well kept building to come here. We plan on staying here for a while.

                              This is actually the first time I have lived on my own and I must say that atrium has mad the transition as painless and possible.Management is so friendly and are always helpful when ever you have questions or concerns. The neighborhood is not too bad, and it is conveniently placed in the middle of everything. There is a gas station that is literally next door. I share a apartment with two other students and I must say that our place is spacious. We have a great common area and we are always hanging out there. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the parking situation, there aren't too many spots, but if you get a carport then you will be fine. I assuming something will be done soon. Overall the atrium is a great place and I would highly recommended it to anyone

                                Out of all the apartments I've lived in this is one of my favorites. I havent had any big problems and when there are little things that need to be fixed sometimes i call the office or maintenance and it is fixed pretty quick. The last place I lived always had trash out on the ground and i hardly ever see it that way. The place looks pretty clean when i walk around or when I come home. The workers here are always nice and say hi to me and if I need something they usually come soon. Sometimes they have events for everyone for holidays and stuff with prizes or food so its nice. there isnt a lot of parking but i only have one car and my car port is pretty close to my apartment and i like that. i think they got a new guard company a little bit ago too because now i actually see them here at night and walking around but didnt before and verizon fios just got set up

                                  Agree with the roaches I started getting them little by little worse now I'm infested they spray and it dosent work the bugs are now deformed cause of the chemicals and it even got worse.. called health department and the Guy that came was friends with Mgr. Cause he LIVED AT THE ATRIUM!! so he didn't care!! I hate this place can't even invite people over cause the roaches are embarrassing all my neighbors are always complaining there roaches all I can say is IT LOOKS NICE BUT.. ROACH INFESTED!!!

                                    I love this place.. It's spacious, they always get their work orders done right away.. Management is good.. The ONLY complain I have is that some neighbor, might be a pedophile takes pictures of kids while they play.. Considering that this is a private property management should not allow residents to take pictures of other people's kids.. I know ALL parents would feel un safe and unhappy if strangers are taking pictures or filming their kids without their permission.. It's very disturbing!!.. Management needs to address this ASAP.. I would recommend this place if management takes care of this disturbing problem.. Residents shouldn't have to feel like they are bein watched after all we do pay to live here.. Specially the kids, because we don't know what they're using that picture or film for and it's violating our privacy.. They might be pedophiles for all we know..

                                      I recently gave my thirty day notice due to the fact that they have ROACH INVESTATION and all they want to do is spray the problem keeps occuring over and over...Again The current Manager has no people skills what so ever her attitude is so unprofessional nasty is not friendly when you walk in the office The leasing Specialist for everything you call and ask for in the weekends repeatly will tell you the same thing over and over again. I DONT KNOW .. you have to wait until Virgina comes back so she pointless to have in the office I hope MG Properties shop there lazy staff so they can see who they really are oh the apartments are getting out of hand they have parties every weekend the Maintenance Team is the best thing they got going for them selfs .

                                        Bad place to live, Looking for a place to move out!!!

                                        I have lived here for 3yrs. Interior of apartments is about the only thing this place has going for its self. #1 issue, Parking!! they only issue 1 parking space. they dont tell you when you apply for an apartment, but very little parking on property and almost no parking on public streets. A permit is required to park on the streets overnight and the City of West Covina wont issue any to apartment residents. Residents fight like dogs for parking spots. #2. Propertie rules? What rules? They might be in writting, but the management is horrible at inforcing them. Kids run wild here on bicycles and skateboards, yelling like its a mental insitution. And good luck if you tell them to be quite, it will get you evicted. When you walk in into the main building where the leasing office is located it is beautiful and recently upgraded. You dont see the back side if you get a unit in the back buildings, the complex might as well be in South Central Los Angeles.

                                          Warning! DO NOT even consider the Atrium at West Covina!

                                          Seriously! The apartments are priced above market value. Shop around - you can get a much nicer apartment, in a nicer complex, for less than the Atrium rates. If you decide to ignore this advice, and rent at the Atrium, be assured that you will encounter onsite leasing staff who are absolute idiots! Very few apartments at the Atrium have been updated. Their definition of "upgraded" is painted! We just moved out of this hell hole because there are several residents who have filthy apartments with bugs and horrible smells. The property management company will not do anything to fix this, presumably because many of those residents' rents are paid by various government programs. And, if you have kids - be advised that they are simply not welcome at the Atrium. They have published "House Rules" that actually state that there is to be no playing anywhere in the common areas, at any time. And, they've threatend to evict anyone whose children are found playing in the common areas - like outside their apartment door!                                             HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

                                            This place is awful for too many reasons Ill just share a few. It seemed nice at first but that wore off pretty quickly.. We are very easy to please tenants but just a month into living here we couldnt wait for our lease to be up and get out of this apartment complex:( The WORST thing about The Atrium might be that the management will keep your deposit and charge you a ridiculous amount of money no matter how perfict the condition you leave the apartment...Or maybe its the loud neghbors, cockroaches, fights over parking spaces, break ins, homeless or crazy drug addicts off the street that come banging on tenants doors in the middle of the night(this seriously is somthing we saw many times in our year of living here). It is hard to get them to ever fix anything and the water is CONSTANTLY being turned off(usually a few times a month once a month at least if your lucky).                                               Very Spacious, Safe, and Quiet Apartment with friendly Neighbors!

                                              I loved how spacious the rooms, living room, kitchen and bathrooms were compared to alot of other apartments. The rent was a little high for all that space considering the one and only problem that I did have with the place were the roaches. There wasn't a day that went by that I did not have to kill one two or even more than three at a time. They mostly came out when a neighbor sprayed or moved away and there was no one living under or next to us. Other than this problem, the staff was always very helpful and polite. The Maintenace was always done properly and in a timely manner. There is only one assigned parking space, but we never had a problem parking in the extra visitor parking. They provide safety patrol at night so it is a very safe community. The location is conveniently located near the freeway, schools, grocery stores and gas stations. Overall it is a nice place to stay if it's in your price range and you don't mind some uninvited visitors every now and then!

                                                Update. . .

                                                10 months at the Atrium; nothing has improved. New managment team arrived; polite but cold. Bugs: Roaches have gotten worse and ants are back. I requested extermination - no openings for 2 weeks; they only spray 7 units per week. WTH?! I have been spending money out of my pocket monthly to spray my unit. I have NEVER lived in a place that has bugs like this one. Oh, and termites are eating away at the wood in the master bedroom. This place needs to be tented!!! Windows are old, out of date, and not energy efficient. The heater doesn't work most of the time. By the time it kicks on, you don't need it. The A/C only cools the living room. You will need a floor heater and lots of fans. Safety Hazard. The entire stove gets hot when using the oven. MG Properties you need to invest real money in this property, especially with the rates you want to charge. This property rates at the level of some of the worst neighborhoods in Southern Cal.

                                                  The facelift doesn't fix the bigger problems - like ROACHES

                                                  The management that was here when we first moved in was a joke, so although the new management is better, that's still not saying a whole lot. ANY improvement from the previous management felt like winning the lottery. Now... the management company is putting a lot of money into the buildings but even that comes with a price. Our water was constantly off with little to no notice. Even though you are assigned a parking space, don't count on it because there will more than likely be a contractor parked there every time you go home. The little wall A/C that they provide is not going to cool you off in the summer and you'll need to hope that when it rains, your ceiling doesn't start to leak. All of those things are inconvenient but liveable. The ROACH situation, on the other hand, is NOT. The office will provide an exterminator to spray and put bait out, but the INFESTATION is so bad, that the roaches may hide for a little bit (by probably just going over to your neighbors), but they will be back.
