Resident 2013 - 2016

3/9/2016

The Crescent started out as a pleasant living experience, but has quickly severely deteriorated. The building is terribly built, so while everything looks nice, it does not endure. It is a building made for someone to live there one year MAX. I've been living there for three plus years and they have new management every three months (no one seems to survive). 1. Loud neighbors and since the building is horribly built, you can hear EVERYTHING. People walking in the middle of the night - yelling at their friends 2. Several car issues with the building - my neighbor scraped my car and did not leave a note - sounds like an easy fix if you ask the building, right? WRONG. They would not help one bit with this even after a police report was filed, they refused to assist. THEN, in my PREMIUM parking spot (that I paid extra for), they had acidic residue dripping from the ceiling that caused $2K+ damages to my car. Again, something they would fix, right? WRONG. They refused to accept any blame. Their only solution? Giving a $100 one-time credit to my rent (which exceeds $2500). I switched parking spots to get my car away from further damage. You think they would fix the leak, right? AGAIN WRONG. I've seen several other cars parking there and all of those cars have incurred paint damage from the same spot! The car next to me also has this damage all over her car. 3. Small apartment for the price you're paying 4. One time my upstairs neighbor's washing machine leaked all the way down into my apartment (from two floors up). I was awoken by the sound of it dripping in the morning. Turns out, the water was dripping onto my electrical box which was inches from my head!! I call emergency maintenance and they refused to open the box because they could get injured from doing so - APPALLING. It sounds like fiction, but it's not. 5. The carpet is cheap and gets dirty within a couple days of having it professionally cleaned 6. One time, in the middle of the night, around 2AM, I was awoken from a deep sleep when a lady (who was probably strung out) was relentlessly ringing my doorbell. I did not know this woman and she would not let up on the doorbell. This continued for several minutes.I texted the emergency patrol - no response. After this kept continuing, afraid she was going to somehow get into my apartment, I called 911. Eventually, she left before police got there. I woke up the next morning to a text from the emergency patrol 2 HOURS after the incident occurred. 7. I had an issue where urine continually appeared on my balcony. I addressed this with the complex and they cleaned it up, but the issue kept happening. The dog above my apartment had been urinating off the balcony of the apartment. The owner was not fined. There is also urine on the grounds from other dogs that are allowed to urinate in the building. Disgusting. The health department should be called. Also, the owner does not own a dog that fits within their regulation, but they still allow it. I can continue, but bottom line is DO NOT MOVE HERE.
