We have lived here for a little over a year and had planned on living her for 2 - 3 years more.
The parking is great, the property is safe and well mantained, the staff used to be wonderful, the lay out off the apartments is wonderful, they accept our pets and there is little noise on this side of the property.
That said there have been some recent issues.
First of all the deposit is very high and double it to thousands of dollars if you have a pet. Second they hired a new finance girl and she can not function correctly. Every other month since she has been here we have recieved a notice saying our rent was late or we had under paid our rent. This was never the case and we prove her wrong everytime but she still treats us like dead beats everytime SHE makes a mistake. Also they don't send out these notices until friday and you recieve them on the weekend when she is not in to correct her mistakes.
The office staff as a whole used to be wonderful. We have been dealing with Audra the whole time we have been here and she has gone from exstreamly pleasent to grumpy. She is not pro-tenant but then again the whole office is like that now.
HERE IS THE BIG THING....They only allow you to sign six moth leases and our was recently up. We recieved a letter in the mail saying our rent was going up $350 (if we sign another lease, it will go up over $450 if it is month to month). Call me a nut but that seems like a high amount to go up at one time. The average income only goes up 10% and the rent is being raised 30%. When I called the front office to find out if this was a mistake I was told no and was givin no compasion at all. I heard the sister property the canyons recently was turned into condos, they are probally doing that here to. If you want to find a place you can stay at for a while don't chose RiverBend. They will price you out or kick you out when they turn the place into condos.
